Offered here is a very fine ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU-VICTORIAN TRANSFER PRINT CERAMIC ART TILE. POSSIBLY MANUFACTURED BY T. R. BOOTE, ENGLAND, CIRCA 1890'S. This tile measures 6 inches by 6 inches. On the front face it has a very small chip in the lower left-hand corner/edge that is hardly noticable from the front(see last picture) The design of this ART TILE is a nice maroon and white flower with large green leaves. The tile has corner designs in a yellow color. On the back there is no name or manufacturer name that I can see. There are concentric rings with the outer ring having a mark of the letter"G" in a circle and directly opposite that the number"4" Also. VTG Collectible Square Ceramic Pottery Tile Folk Art Made Spain Italian Style
Collectible Tile Here is an interesting.Vintage Tile.that comes from my personal collection. I have no idea about its origins.but it reminds me a lot of the decorative Mexican Tile.from years gone by. It also reminds me.a lot.of the Italian Pottery.especially the artwork. The piece is filled with rich colors and design.similar to artwork found in the earlier part of the 1900's. I think that this is a much newer piece though. Wish I had a better idea.as to the true age. The tile is about 1/4 of an inch thick. It is the color of Sewer Tile.to the backside. The tile is glazed to the top.and measures a little less than 6 inches across. The surface to the top.actually looks very nice.with no crazing. The painting.looks like it was hand done.and sort of resembles a Folk Art Style. The artist has even splattered the paint.to give it a little ... moremore flair.
