Pipeline Masters 2008 RARE OFFICIAL POSTER Billabong signed Andy Irons
Ironic as it is(pun intended) This was signed by the late great Andy Irons. To HMAA. Keep it Live" HMAA was Andy's health insurance company. Both the brothers IRONS would sign these types of posters and items on occasion. This is a rare"one and only" item. To some priceless. A tragic turn took Andy. This poster forever a reminder of his greatness. Poster constructed with very heavy stock paper and is rolled. It was never hung or framed and sat"lost" in the HMAA store room for years. ANTIQUE SHIPBUILDERS TOOLS: CAULKING IRONS MARKED BUFFUM TOOL CO, HAMMER & RULE
Offered here is a FANTASTIC LOT OF ANTIQUE SHIPBUILDERS-BOATMAKERS TOOLS. THE CAULKING IRONS ARE MARKED: BUFFUM TOOL CO. LOUISIANA. MO. The shipwright ruler is marked 42 and believed to be a STANLEY. The large caulking hammer is made of a heavy dense wood and it has iron rings to prevent it from splitting when striking the caulking irons. There is no handle to the hammer. Finally. There is a nice OAK OR CHESTNUT AWL. This fantastic tool lot came out of an old boat builders carpenter's chest located in SOMERS POINT. NJ. The tools are all antiques or very close to being 100 years old! The caulking irons are all marked by the maker. Buffum Tool Co. Louisiana. Mo. This company was founded by Frank Washburn Buffum(1859-1922) in 1906. Louisiana Mo is situated along the Mississippi River. Just north of St. Louis. Thus the connection to boat ... morebuilding. Also, this company was well known for their top grade tools and workmanship. The company used the Good Luck or Blessing Swastika Logo, but these tools do not contain such markings. The caulking irons include Bent caulking irons, Splice iron, and Straight Jerry Iron. There are a total of 9 irons in all. All have some minor pitting but they are cleaned and rust-free. They are very choice. They had been storred away in the chest for several decades! The shipbuilder's rule is marked 42 and believed to be a Stanley. The outer boxwood has some stains and the graduation markings are faided. The brass bevels come out easily and they are cleaned and shiny brass. It is a useful ruler/bevel used in the shipbuilding trades. I would say it is in fair conditon. Not broken or anything. But well used. Still useful should you choose to do so. The caulking hammer is in very nice conditon and it has the iron rings around the turnings to prevent splitting. The iron has been cleaned and the wood waxed. Just find or make a nice handle and this caulking hammer is ready for use or display. The carpenter's awl is made of either Chestnut or Oak. The furrule was rusted but is now cleaned.

Antique Union Company kerosene heater for heating up hand held metal irons
Antique Union Company kerosene heater for heating irons. This cool old metal stove which was used to heat up the cast iron ironers used in during the turn of the century. This stove is about 9.5 inches tall. 6.5 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. It has a tank for holding the kerosene and uses a 3.75 inch wide wicK(still intact inside the stove) Knob on side of the stove regulates the length of the wick. When lit, the flame's heat rises and heats the iron resting on top of the platform. Fairly nice decal logo from the“Union” company adorns the front of the kerosene tank. There is an access hole on the back left corner of the tank which is plugged with a piece of cork(not sure but do not think the cork is original.probably used some sort of metal cap or plug. It had one real purpose in life and that was to heat the clothes ironers used for pressing the family laundry. They were made with 1,2, and 3 burners. This is obviously a one burner. When electricity was introduced into homes, the electric iron replaced need for the heaters. Just about every housewife had one. Patent dates seem to range from about 1865 to 1901. The large wicks were meant to concentrate a large amount of heat in a small area to heat the irons quickly. Overall the unit is in fair to good condition, shown a fair amount of corrosion to the surface, blackening from heat, and dings and dents. Appears to be usable, but has not been tested. Sold in as described condition, with no implied or expressed warranties of any kind.

This is a lot of 2 antique/vintage Irons: One is made by Pagoel and the other one is made by General Electric.The Pagoel Iron has the#5 on it. It is painted yellow with flowers on the bottom, but it is scratched up pretty good on the top and bottom. It seems as sturdy and good condition,I believe to be from the early 1900's- 1930's somewhere. It measures aprox 5 1/2" long and 5" tall. The other one by General Electric is painted antique white with flowers on the bottom and it is in really nice condition, no cord, for decoration only. It measures about 9" long. lot of 2 very early Sargent 2" wood plane irons blades cutters w/ oval logo
You are bidding on one lot of two Sargent 2" plane irons as pictured. The longer iron is marked"SARGENT& CO NEW HAVEN CT" with no USA in the middle. Which is the earliest variation of Sargent irons. It has the keyhole at both ends, which seems odd to me. Overall length is about 7-1/8" but it is ground with a slight skew. Condition is fair to good, with some scattered surface rust to clean off on both sides, and some scattered light pitting on both sides mostly between the sharp edge and the first keyhole. The shorter iron is marked"SARGENT& CO USA NEW HAVEN CT" with USA in the middle. Which is the second variation of Sargent irons. It has the odd shaped keyhole at the upper end. Overall length is about 5-13/16" Condition is good, with some scattered pitting mostly on the non-logo side mostly between ... morethe sharp edge and the slot, and it has one ding in the edge. Brazilian Rosewood Wooden Plow Plane Wood Plough Ivory Tipped with Irons
Spectacular is the only way I can describe this plane. I am sure it is Brazilian Rosewood and it is beautiful. I'm sure the tips are real ivory. It looks like it is craftsman made. And what a craftsman they must have been! It looks like it was modeled after an Ohio Tool plane, given the shape of the nuts and washers. The finish(I believe laquer) is wonderful. The"speckly" look in the pictures is not the finish, its just the grain of the rosewood. The threads are nearly, if not completely perfect. The ivory tips are held on with pins, like I believe the Ohio Tool planes were. The details are incredible, like the molding shape around the fence and how the craftsman chose the wood for the fence in a way to accent the lighter wood. There is fine detail in the turning of the nuts and washers also. The depth stop works fine. The only ... moremark I see is what looks like an owners mark on the toe, in very small letters. Looks like there used to be something glued to the plane by the handle, with some of the glue remaining, could be cleaned off easily. There are 9 irons with the plane. They are numbered 1-4 and 7 and 8. The 5 iron is missing. These are all marked Atkin& Sons. Two other irons with it look like they have been custom shaped. One is veed and the other is a double bead shape. A canvas tool roll is included for the irons. This set is phenomenal and should go to a serious collector. Please pay quickly with paypal. Brown Glazed Pottery with Pink and Yellow Flowers Sugar Bowl– 5” long x 4” wide x 4” tall(to top of handle) Salt& Pepper– 4 5/8” tall x 2 ½” x 2 ¼” I am sad to say that one shaker and the sugar bowl have some damage as follows: Shaker Damage- The handle has been broken at the top end which created a crack on the top of the shaker. There are two breaks further down on the handle. All breaks have been reglued. No damage to the other shaker. Sugar Bowl– The base has been broken vertically down the bottom and across the wide end. Also included are the original box. Which held six, and the original wrapping paper. Three antique. Hand-wrought leather irons. S.R. SIKES& CO. These are very unique. Each a one of a kind. They're s olid steel and the two larger stamps are heavy(think anvil) I would rate the condition as outstanding(not a technical term) considering they are used tools over 100 years old. The ends are mashed from being hit thousands of times by a hammer. But that's to be expected. Otherwise, they have no notable defects. They display exceptionally well. The overall length of each from longest to shortest is 7-3/4" 5-7/8" and 3-1/8" These irons were acquired directly from J.R. SIKES& CO. Sikes was a historic leather manufacturer in Minneapolis dating back to the 1800's. In the early days. They were a gateway to the western frontier, supplying leather products to the most established of hardware stores. Wholesalers ... moreand manufacturers. Back then, leather was used in everything from belting on motors and implements. To clothing and everyday household items. It was very prevalent, and products Sikes didn't stamp with another retailers name, they stamped with their own name using THESE VERY IRONS. Sikes leather closed in 2011 due to the current owner entering retirement. Walking into the shop itself was like stepping back in time. Much of the machinery was antique and primitive. Some even medieval looking, and much of it was still being used. I purchased a large cabinet containing modern cutting dies and a few of these old irons were found buried in the back of it. As for pricing these. I'm relying solely on my experience as a collector/seller because there is no previous sales history for these. Nothing even similar. They are highly specialized items that are extremely rare and one of a kind. I'm open to offers as well but. For the record, these are probably worth exponentially more than my asking price. I purchased at an estate/ farm auction Bronze heads with iron handles. The 6 and 9 are same iron just rotate it. Lots of pictures please make the large and look at all to see what you are getting. I cleaned some of the rust off and used a wire wheel some on the brand heads. No Name English Saddle with Leathers and Irons
Looks to be never used. 18.5" seat AP English saddle in black, could not find a brand name, has suede knee rolls. very.very stiff. I have oiled it but needs lots more. Looks to be a medium narrow horse size. I bought this saddle as a back up and never used it, I love my Stubben too much to use anything else. This saddle would be an excellent starter saddle for the new English rider.
