RARE STYLE Antique Iron Boxing Bell // School Bell // Firestation Bell
You are bidding on an antique bell possibly used for boxing. A fire department or a school. This is a rare design that I have been unable to find elsewhere. This is an amazing. Original iron bell. It is mounted on a thick slab of wood. It still works and has a nice clear ring. Even just running your fingers around the back edge of the bell produces a sound. The bell is rung by pulling the wire loop that extends through the back. A clapper emerges from the top and raps against the top edge of the bell. I think it dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's based on the style. Patina and wear to the wood. If anyone has better information, please message me. I have not been able to find It measures 12" high. 10" wide and 9 1/4" deep. Wear consistent with age. There is pitting and an amazing patina on the metal. Antique Noveau German Gustav Becker Walnut two (2) Weight Vienna Regulator Clock
Up for auction is a wonderful Antique Art Noveau Period German Gustav Becker(2) two weight Vienna Regulator Clock. Circa 1890-1910. The clock's dimensions are approximately; H- 39" W- 17" D- 8" The Case: The walnut case is in excellent physical condition. The ring around the dial/face has a split it in it. There is also a another small area on the bottom of the case that has chipped off and missing a piece of wood missing. I believe these imperfections are relatively insignificant overall. But something you should know about. The finish on the case is very clean. I believe it was refinished at one time, not 100pct sure. There are 16 pieces of brass ornamentation attached to the clock. 12-8-13) PLEASE NOTE: I found a small wooden 1/2 finial for the bottom of the clock, please see picture, its shown on the last picture. There ... moreis still a small wood piece missing in that area. The Dial/Face: The dial/face is in excellent physical condition. Its clean and has a nice established patina. I believe the chapter ring is made of an early plastic, not 100 pct sure though.I can not see and/or feel chips, breaks, etc. The Mechanism: The Gustav Becker 8 day weighted mechanism is clean and has been running properly for me for the last few days. The clock chimes on the half hour and hour. On the back plate of the movement it states in two circles; Gustav Becker. Freig, I, schl. braunauibohm" and"Medaille D'Or" The serial number is 264386. The Chime Base: The anchor shaped chime base which is connected to the back of the clock is original and has"G.B" engraved on the top. The clock has a pleasant soft sound which resonates well. The Weights/Pendulum. Pulleys and Clock Dial are matching with the same engraving pattern. Please check out this video of the clock. The clock is being put for auction in"as found" condition. Unique RARE 1891 Patent Counter Machine Chas Streunger Co Detroit Works Antique
Thanks for looking at this amazing antique counter made by the Chas A Streunger Company of Detroit Michigan. It has a patent date of April 7. 1891! That makes it 123 years old and it still works! It measures 8 inches long not counting the lever on the end, 2 ½ inches wide not counting the mounting tabs, and 1 ½ inches high. It is well constructed and weighs 2 pounds 9 ounces. Just move the lever on the side and the numbers increment higher. I took 2 pictures with 2 different numbers so you can see it works fine. It has awesome Victorian scrolling on the face. The plating has worn off from age. There are 2 mounting tabs on top and may have been two on bottom. This has to be a very rare item because I cannot find any information on it anywhere…on Ebay or online.
