I suspect the box was made in the 1880s. The copper box is lined with wood (pine?) and wood forms the bottom of the box. The box rests on 4 ball feet. The box is 7 1/2" L x 5 1/2" W x 3" H. It weighs about 2 lbs. The makers mark - Ostrich in a square - is located on the front bottom rail that supports the wood base. This is a fantastic box for the serious collector.

Which can be seen on the left hand side of my written description. Adorning the centre of the card holder there is a raised leather design which is cream/white in colour and portrays a period gentleman who is offering a ... moreyoung lady a glass of wine and there is a garden scene behind them. Surrounding the centre decoration there is raised gilt/goldtone metal. Which has a wonderful Art Nouveau swirly design, however please be aware that some of the metal has broken on two of the edges(as shown on the images) Also on the front of the leather card holder there are embossed goldtone decorations of Fleur de Lis and further Art Nouveau decorations. The back of the card holder is plain. Upon opening the card holder there are two pouches in which to place your cards. The leather is soft leather and there is wear on the corners of the card holder. However it has been lovingly used and considering this piece is over 100 years old it is in fabulous condition in my opinion. The clasp on the card holder is in good order and shuts good and tight. This card holder measures 11cm by 7.6cm(when closed) and weighs 62.8 grams. What a stunning piece to add to your personal collection and is well worth a bid or two! Antique 1860's Art Nouveau Album/Scrapbook with Plates/Prints
Beautiful old scrap book/album with lovely illustrations. Most of the pages are empty. There are two entries poems written in faded ink. Only one is signed. It says Dover. March 22, 1864 F Harney. I believe it to mean Dover Massachusetts. The date would mean that these rather melancholic pieces were penned during the civil war. I would think that they were the creation of the owner of the album. The handwriting is lovely. I have not included all the plates in the pictures, there are 14 total. I can provide the rest by email if someone is interested.

Rare, Antique, Art Deco, Nouveau Boy and Dolphin Kerosene/ Oil Lamp, Porpoise
In very good condition for age. Except top of lamp had no paint. Painted it to match rest of lamp. Didn't alter the finish on the rest of it. It has a beautiful, aged patina. Made of metal except for base. Has a date of 1887 and Phoenix MFG. Co. on knob. It is 22 1/2 inches tall. 15 1/2 without chimney. The"fish" is the way dolphins were portrayed in the 19th century and earlier. Last two pictures show lamp before painting. Paint was probably worn off by kerosene being wiped off of top from repeated usage. Has neat little cap on a chain that covers small fuel filler tube. Check pictures. Very heavy for it's size. Weighs over 9 pounds. Can't figure out for sure what Boy and Dolphin are made of. Reservoir screws into it with a brass threaded rod. The threaded female part in top of figures is brass. But after scratching ... moreinto hidden part in top after taking them apart I've found it's not brass. It is a shiny silvery metal. There is no sign of rust on figures so it is not iron. With art nouveau design elements in relief on the frame which features a kiss clasp and a chain. Inside the purse is a beautiful black silk lining trimmed in pink roses. The lining also sports a small pocket and the fabric is in very good condition. The clear glass beads have an iridescence to them that makes the light reflect with color. The bead coverage is excellent and the way they are part of the design is simply stunning as is the lush fringe! This would have been an evening bag type of accessory, used for special occasions, and this surely has the appearance of a gently used and lovingly stored piece. Rare Antique Art Nouveau Brass Table, Three Tiered Fan Table, Estate Item
In very good condition. Has beautiful age patina. Can be cleaned and polished to look like new. But I will let the new owner decide. It is only 30 inches tall and 19 inches in diameter. Nice little display table. I took one picture to show what it looks like with items displayed on it.

ANTIQUE VICTORIAN/EDWARDIAN/ART NOUVEAU CAST IRON WALL CANDELABRA, GOTH LOOKING
This is a unique single wall candelabra that I bought some years ago in an antique shop in Cape Town. South Africa, and shipped to London. I was told it was the last of a series of similar candelabras reclaimed from an old theatre. It comes from the Victorian/Edwardian period and it's in art Nouveau style. I believe it's made of cast iron and brass and it's in fact very heavy(15 kg) It's currently black with some bronze/goldish reflection and I think it could look much more bronze/goldish if it was cleaned properly. There are some white paint marks here and there(see photos) but they are very dry and they could be removed with some patience. The candelabra got wired at some point with cable and a light bulb holder but they are unusable at the moment. It would have to be rewired or simply used with a large candle.
