It is glazed white with a beautiful blue color and gold embellishments on the pitcher; there appears to be no crazing. There is a chip in the bowl which is pictured. The bottom of the pitcher and bowl are stamped(pictured above) It is a very large piece. This fantastic quality Victorian novelty snuff box or pill case stands 14mm(5' high x 37mm(1.5' across and weighs 55 grams. It is cleverly made from two silver Victorian Crown coins dated 1845 with the edge having a flush mounted hinge to one side and a finger nail slot to the other so that the joint is hard to detect with a rich gilded finish. It is engraved to the inside JL 1881 which was most likely its date of manufacture and is in good condition with slight areas of wear to the gilding and the detail of the coins is still very sharp. Vintage German porcelain soldier figure. Figure measures about 10 inches tall. Crown mark on bottom might be Muller& Co. Or Volkstedt. Both companies apparently used similar marks. From the registration mark. This dates to 1906. Manufactured in England in the blue version of the antique"Empire" pattern Ceramic Art Potteries china footed tureen with lid, and serving plate but no ladle. It's a beautiful blend of blue scrolls, ribbons, and swags on a milk-white surface. Excellent condition with no scratches, cracks, chips, or crazing. The pattern is strong and the glaze still shines. One post that supports the mirror on top has a split however it doesnot appear to go all the way through the wood. I do not know the maker or exact date this piece was made. This piece would make a beautiful country style buffet server, sideboard or vanity. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. ITEM: Beautiful antique lot of Victorian architectural wood and gesso crown molding trim for a ceiling. Cabinet, architectural restoration project or even a custom picture frame or mirror. It has a rolling scroll with acanthus leaf and berry pattern on a finely checkered square background. It still retains its original paint of gold, silver, a copper tone paint and some green. It is absolutely stunning and rich. I wish it fit my house, which is a Mission era home, but it doesn't. This molding is very well made and detailed. One of the pieces is number marked 5562 1/2 on the back. WHEN MADE: Mid 1800s is my best guess. Possibly a little older SIZE: Approximately ... more30 feet total usable molding. There is actually about 32 feet but I did not count the ends that were damaged and rounded down. Each of the(8) pieces is 3 1/2 feet to 4 1/2 feet long. Each piece is 2 1/2" tall. It's approx 7/8" thick at the top and 3/8" at the bottom. CONDITION: There is some wear to the Gesso and the original paint. Most of the wear is on the ends of the molding lengths. The Gesso is very solid and free of flaking or driness and very solid. It can be safely handled without worry. If you use a fine toothed blade you should be able to cut this molding to fit. The holes in it were pre-drilled so as not to damage the gesso when it was originally hung. Please note that any light spots in the pictures are from my lighting and not actually on this piece. Please see photos for condition. DESCRIPTION: This is a beautiful lot of antique molding. They are Sterling Silver and weigh a total of about 41.3 grams = 1.46 Ounces. They are solid Sterling and not weighted. There are 3 Salt and Pepper Shakers. They are used but in good shape. With a nice shine to them. They have a some spotting and tarnish in a few stops that could benefit from a good cleaning/ polishing. There are a few minor dents from normal use wear but they are hard to see and very difficult to capture in a picture. I am not sure what brand these are, however they have the hallmarks of a Crown, the Letter H, and a Shield/ Crest on the bottom of each item(see Picture#4) They measure about 3 1/16 inches tall and have a base diameter of about 1 ... more3/16 inches. These belonged to my mother who had they passed down to her from another family member. So I am not sure exactly how old they are or where they originated. These are an original, not a reproduction. The bowl and lid are decorated with an Asian aesthetic brown transfer of flowers, scrolls, screens, and a butterfly. The piece is in good condition, however, there is a small chip inside the top rim of the bowl, scattered crazing on the lid, and there is some discoloration of one handle and the surrounding area. There is also a firing crack at the joint on one end that does not go through to the inside. The sauce boat is marked with a raised registry number plate and an inkstamp as shown. A fabulous piece.
