The original owner's mark is also stamped on, this consists of a crown and a"G" please see photographs for details. The mould is approx. 6 3/8 inches(16.4 cm) in diameter and is approx. 2 1/8 inches(5.5 cm) high. There are some very minor bumps on the tops of the sections of the pillars and a very shallow bulge on the inner ring. This quite hard to notice, but please see photograph no. 3. The tin lining is worn in places and w hen viewed from above and into the interior. The mould looks very slightly misshapen. This is not noticed when the mould is displayed, but please see photograph no. 6. Overall though. I would say these things are minor. The mould is highly collectable and very decorative. This antique printing block has the image of an eagle fying through the letters of DC. It is very old and VERY rare! It has a wooden and copper construction with the face nailed in place. Original. Antique and Unique. German copper WASCH RASCH brand Wash Tub Plunger(also know in German as WÄSCHEPÖMPEL or WASCHGLOCKE) What is it? A great conversation piece. Young people will not HAVE A CLUE what this might be. It is the old way to do the laundry before many people had a washing machine. Some said it was better than a wash board! Fill a tub with water. Add your soap flakes or bar of Nafta and your clothes, heat up the whole thing, put the plunger in the middle and push down to agitate and get suds in the water and clean your clothes. Agitate for 30-45 minutes. Here in the US this model(and in copper) is very rare. This model is not for sale anywhere in the US that I can find. I brought it over from The Netherlands in 1982 and it has been in my family for a LOOOOONG time. But we're down sizing and it's time ... moreto sell stuff. This unit is in perfect working condition. Islamic Table made in the 18th Century. This is a beautifully made Islamic tray table. The base of the table was hand carved and the copper was hand beaten. The table was made in the Middle East in the 18 th century. The copper tray has verses from the Koran throughout and is decorated with camels and other animals which roamed the desert many years ago. The table has exquisite hand carvings on each leg and these legs are connected by a central rod down through the middle. The table legs fold together and this makes for easy storage. This measures approx. 11 ½" from spout to the opposite side by 7 ½" in diameter, and 9 ¼" tall with the handle upright. We were able to empty a gallon of water into it. This is in amazingly great condition considering the age, with few nicks visible, a warm patina, and old polish in the crevices, and some mineral coating on the inside, some of which has flaked off. We don't see any signature on this, but can see that this is hand crafted by a master craftsman. The copper wire is Roebling Trenton N.J. and I think it is stamped 4 1/2 MB, but not sure. There is a approx. half of the wire left on the spool. The spool and wire weigh approx. 2 lbs if that helps figure out how much wire is left. It is very fine wire and the spool is very unique. Being sold are an attractive bookend pair the mid to late 1930's. These are found in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Bookends where they are titled. Doe Portrait. In comparison to all other Doe and Deer pairs shown in that reference guide. These are amongst the rarest and most valuable of them all; for good reason. The sculptor is known to be the German born Paul Herzel. A talented artist who designed fantastic pieces for a number of foundries, mainly Pompeian Bronze. You will find these to be in ideal condition, with no damage to note or mention. Unlike most other pairs sculpted by Herzel. These are gray metal, not electroformed bronze over a plaster core.
