The name‘Health Kup’ was later changed to‘Dixie Cup. This is an early dispenser that dispensed‘DIXIES. I believe there was originally a glass cone in which cups were stacked. Also. Vintage Antique Crock Porcelain Beverage Liquid Water Ice Tea Dispenser WORKS
I do NOT know the age of this piece. I took the metal handle off of the crock. Oiled it and replaced the rubber caskets and this crock WORKS AND DOES NOT LEAK! This off-white creamy crock is 12" H. The widest part of the crock is 8 1/2" in diameter. The lid measures 6 1/4" in diameter. The opening is 5 1/8" in diameter. The base is 7 1/2" in diameter. The crock has 2 brown stripes that measure 1/16" wide. The crock weighs 7 1/2 pounds. That is why the shipping cost is what it is. There are no cracks or chips on this piece. There is a weird dimple on the lid- not a chip though. The surface of this piece has a nice glaze and every so often. You can see little pits on the surface. This came in a box with other miscellaneous items at an estate sale. Thanks to a helpful eBayer. I learned that it is a Brass Tape Dispenser for a Vintage NATIONAL CASH REGISTER. It measures 6 3/4" in diameter. On the outside there are two flanges that might have been used to mount this item on something. The front and back plates can be taken apart and the interior axle can be removed. Photos 7& 8 show this view. On the inside of the plate with the flanges are the numbers. 702K and there is an"A" near the rim. The inside of the other plate is marked. 701 and A43. There is a"B" near the rim. Antique Late 1800s English Cash Register with Money Drawer and Receipt Dispenser
A beautiful late 1800s English Counter-top Cash Box/Register. Completely refinished with on the outside with satin varnish and hand-rubbed with 3 coats paste-wax and 0000 steel wool. Not sure what the wood species are— the outside was originally finished to make it look like mahogany. The woods used on the inside are poplar and maple and some pine and mahogany scraps. Plywood is used for the stops and curved bottoms of the coin spaces. The original instructions mounted on the inside of the lid suggest screwing the box to the counter from the inside and goes on to explain how the receipt roll is mounted and used. The two brass locks are stamped"English Made" and"Secure Lever" Cash drawer has five spaces for coins and two spring loaded levers in the back to hold down paper currency. Bell and holder were missing and have ... morebeen replaced by a modern one. Bar that activates the bell when the till is pulled-out is missing. Glass for window on top is original. Handle on front is not the original one. But it is old and came with the box when I bought it. The box measures 10" wide x 7 1/2" tall and 19" deep. Cash drawer or till is 8 1/2" wide x 18" deep and 3 1/8" tall. Hinges in good working order and chain is securely fastened. I believe the locks are in working order, but there is no key. An unusual and unique Stoneware Dispensing Crock with advertising made by Red Wing Union. Ca.1930's. It is marked PERFECTION MFG. CO. MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. This company patented a wide range of dairy and agricultural apparatus, regularly displaying them at early Minnesota State Fairs in the 1920's. This piece was originally developed to dispense a solution for cleaning and sterilizing the milker cups and lines in the dairy industry. The lines could be attached to a pair of spigots at the bottom the the crock. The overall condition is great, with just a few minor dings on the base. There are no hairlines, cracks or repaired damage. The two gaskets in the bottom drainage holes are dry and cracked as expected. A wonderful piece of early advertising that can certainly be repurposed in you Country or Primitive setting. 30s vintage antique commercial Paper Towel Dispenser from old movie Theater
Beautiful all original condition Mosine Towels paper towel dispenser. Steel cabinet with glass mirror. You NEVER find them in this condition. The paint is all original and in great shape. Even the water transfer decal is intact on the front. I don't think I've ever seen one of these that didn't have several coats of paint on it. This was found in an unused back stage bathroom of the Roseland Theatre in Pana Illinois. The room was long forgotten and had been used for storage for decades. Likely rarely used to begin with. The original fixtures were all unmolested. I carefully cleaned the outside of the cabinet. The inside is still uncleaned. Personally I would just dust it out and leave it alone. As liquid spray cleaners would destroy the original decal and could discolor the original paint on the outside. There is some minor discoloration ... moreto the mirror around the outer edge which I think looks really cool. Its just enough to show its age. There are NO dents or dings and no rust. This uses standard size paper towells still sold today. Overall dims are 10.75' wide. 9' tall and 6' deep. Please take a look at my other auctions. Normal 0 Die-cast metal machine painted bright red with glass bowl to hold jellybeans. Sour balls, root beer barrels, etc. The front of the glass says"Jelly Belly, The original gourmet jelly beans" Above the glass bowl is a metal dome that has a screw off top for placing jellybeans. The base of the machine is all die-cast metal and the coin mechanism– which can be turned on or off- will accept any coin or token. It is pewter in color with a leaf design. I think this is somewhat rare as I have never seen this piece before. Made by the Art Metal Company this tin and pot metal dispenser is from the early 20th century. The dispenser is 6" tall and 5" square at base. The cigs can be no longer that 2 3/4" the no filter type. Someone made a wooden one to represent how this dispenser works, it is included. Here's an interesting old or antique mid sized bottle of the mid 1800's we received recently. This one is a nice cobalt blue color and has quite a bit of embossed detailing. On the bottom it has a patent date type mark. Difficult to read but appears to have the date 1899 or similar. This bottle is marked"John Wyeth& Bro" The glass top is a dispenser cup and has some markings on the top, This cup holds one heaping desert spoon full" On the side of the cup and at the top of the bottle are embossed numbers. The user aligned these marks after use to remind themselves of a specific hour take the next dose. There is quite a bit of information available on the internet about this manufacturer and their history. The bottle is in nice shape, no chips or crack noted, and while clean in appearance and some bottle enthusiasts ... morewill probably want to do a little extra fine cleaning. Antique General Store Counter Tole Tin Litho Tea Bin Dispenser Bin Girl & Kitten
Here is a great estate sale find! It's an old tin tea bin or dispenser that would have sat on a counter in a General Store way back when! Probably from the late 1800s or around the turn of the century. I don't know much about these type of items. It has its problems as mentioned in the"Condition description" above but still has fabulous stenciled graphics including a cute young girl watching her kitten drink milk. So charming! The top hinged lid contains a revolving cylinder which has different types of teas stenciled on it. The one currently shown is"Gun Powder" There is also Japan. E. Breakfast(English Breakfast) Succhong, and another which is pretty scratched out so I can't read it. I left the window open to"Gun Powder" because the cylinder is dented and doesn't roll smoothly around. I don't ... morewant to scratch the graphics and more than they are. You can see the lid has a broken hinge and is dented so it doesn't sit squarely on the bin. The small door at the bottom is missing its knob and also has a dent. The Paint on it is great and done by proffesionals that restore classic cars and coin operated items for a living. The art work is done by a senior designer and can create the best looking art. The machine stands 28" Tall by 9" wide and 5-1/2" deep. It can be wall mounted or use on a counter top. It includes two keys, one for the door lock then one for the coin box inside. It does work properly and will look great doing so. It does not show in the ad but a back piece sits behind the raisins to keep them from falling back. Antique 1 of a kind solid brass toothpick dispenser
This is a one of a kind toothpick dispenser that was made by a great great uncle of mine during WWII while serving in the navy in Pearl Harbor and worked in the machine shop. This was made in that machine shop in 1943 at Pearl Harbor. This has been in my family for generations and I got it when my grandmother died in 1996. This is not something I am parting with lightly but we really need the money. Considering the fact that this is so unique/rare and when& where it was made I hope that someone will appreciate it for the value I put on it. If not I will keep it just as I have for years. Antique Art Deco Cast Iron Blackbird Match Dispenser
This auction features a 100% authentic and original Antique Art Deco Cast Iron Blackbird match Dispenser. Great condition. Although it beautifully shows its age with a great patina and paint wear. Although it seems to function fine, I havnt used it. The way it works is- the bird's head, which has a needle like spike sticking down from it's beak, can be pushed down into a slot on top the base, poke into a wood match inside, and pull it up. The beaks needle is pretty sharp already but it may need sharpening before actual use. I dont want to alter it myself. All the paint looks very old so I dont know if the original owner didnt like the red base color and so painted the base black a long time ago, or if the red paint is old primer. The paint is worn in such a way as to add to the piece and patina instead of detracting from it. Those ... morewho love antiques that beautifully show their age will love this. SAMPLE BOX IN 1903. IT WAS THEN CALLED A"COMMODITY BOX" IT WAS ONE OF A KIND AND FIRST IN THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY(worldwide) THE IDEA WAS TO PROVIDE AN IMPROVED NEEDLE CASE AND INDEX TO ASSIST IN PROVIDING THE CORRECT NEEDLE FOR DIFFERENT AMERICAN BADGED SEWING MACHINES.
