Old Blue Ball Mason Jar circa late 1800's This jar was found under a share crop house on a SC plantation in a wooden box along with several unique items! The jar itself is truly marvelous with the blue hue tinted glass with hand blown imperfections like bubbles in the glass and uneven bottom. Apparently it was a child's stash jar because inside of it was full of treasures! Stuffed inside was a old stuffed teddy bear(available on another auction of mine. Also was a beautiful arrowhead that has blue spots all over it. Also two broke arrowheads. Some very old fishing tackle one primitive lure and two old cork floats. Also a quarts crystal with some other quarts rock with red vanes running through it. Quite a find! This is a rare one of a kind item! So don't let this treasure get away. Antique whistle made from an animal tooth Tiger’s tooth? British India? Hunting memento? My own theory about this extremely interesting little antique whistle is that it was made in British India– a relic of the Raj. As you can see. It is made by mounting a mouthpiece on an animal tooth. The mouthpiece. I’m pretty sure, is silver, although it is not hallmarked. I imagine it was just fashioned to fit the tooth by a local craftsman. I’ve no idea to what animal the tooth belonged but it would suit my British India theory of course. If it was a tiger. It certainly looks like it should have belonged to a big cat. Or a carnivore of some kind. The tooth has quite a distinctive growth pattern. So if you can identify it from the photo, please do let me know. It might help place the country of origin. I imagine it was made as a small personal memento of an animal hunt(although I guess it could just be a simple, locally bought souvenir) I do think it very probable that it is colonial in origin. The mouthpiece is a little scratched and battered but it whistles very well and quite loudly. It makes a high-pitched peeping noise rather than the full-bodied sound of. Say, a police whistle. The tooth is aged as you can see but it is in good shape. It is missing a very small sliver of the surface enamel on the front of the curve but this is not noticeable visually– you have to run your finger over the surface to know that it is missing. Old Vintage Odd Fellows Patriarich Militant Uniform Epaulet Hendersaon Ames We just got back from a wonderful vacation out to Wyoming and South Dakota. Stayed at a fabulous B&B in South Dakota- made even more heaven by the fact that they also had an antique store on the property. I shopped in several other locations in both states and brought home some great primitives. Advertising, pottery, and all in all interesting finds. Before I left, I went to a new farm auction, and an estate auction- so I have a BUNCH of new items this week- I’ll be posting every day, so be sure to check back! I just liked the look of this one. I'm calling it vintage. But I do believe that it could be old enough to be antique. It's a braided uniform epaulet- marked as being made by the Henderson Ames company of Kalamazoo Michigan which operated under this ... morename from 1893 until it merged with another company in 1933. It was the leading U.S. producers of military uniforms and secret society regalia. The button on this umiform epaulet identifies that it once was on a Patriarchi Militant, which was the uniformed branch of the Internation Order of Odd Fellows, which was formed in 1885. This is a very fancy piece, made of braided brown rope into the cross shape that you see. It has the button on the bottom, and a hanged arm at the back that goes over a"hook" at the other side of the bottom. It's on this back arm that the maker is identified. The piece measures 6 1/16" tall and 4" widest, is stiff and fairly thick at 1/2" not including the hardware. You can see that there's black felt on the backside, and a faded burgundy or light dusty dark rose colored felt that appears to be faded under the medium to light brown roping of the top. The buttom appears to be brass, and I think the hardware at the back is to as a magnet does not stick to it. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. Antique Hand Etched Kevin Barry Art Piece Hand Crafted Frame Must have been a labour of Love. Never seen another like this. Kevin Barry was an 18 year old medical student executed following an ambush on British troops in Dublin in which one soldier is killed. On the morning of 20 September 1920. Kevin Barry went to Mass and received Holy Communion, he then joined a party of IRA volunteers on Bolton Street in Dublin. Their orders were to ambush a British army truck as it picked up a delivery of bread from a bakery and capture their weapons. The ambush was scheduled for 11AM, which gave him enough time to take part in the operation and return to UCD in time for a Medical examination he had at 2PM. Captured at the scene, Barry was court martialled and hanged in Mountjoy Jail November 1st 1920. He was the first Republican to be executed since ... morethe leaders of the Easter Rising of 1916. The execution of Barry led to a swell of support for the Independence struggle, both nationally and internationally. The last image attached is a poignant letter from an 18 year old boy about to meet his end. Letter not included) Written in blue prison pencil in his cell on Halloween night. Along with the 1931 Canadian Horse Trainer’s License issued in Toronto Canada on May 29 th. 1931, various newspaper articles associated with steeplechase events in Timonium, MD and Mr. Harris’s obituary from 1935. The book is covered with a brown paper bag as a book cover. It is approximately 10” x 7” The pages of the book are no longer attached to the black and white cardboard cover. But the pages are intact. The trainer’s license is approximately 6-1/2” L x 3-3/4” H and taped into the book. I put a red arrow on the page where the license is. this is an interesting piece of glass. Im told it could be roman, but due to ebay rules as i have no paperwork or certificate to prove the age im having to sell as seen and unknown age. it measures about 5.7cm high, 9cm across the handles, it has a dirty frosty appearance. might look better with a good clean, some slight nibbles and one of the handles at the top may have had the corner ground, or may have worn with age, viewing best option otherwise selling as seen with possible faults. displays very well. Hi- this is a C-68- THE JUMBO LINE NELSON BROS. SAGINAW. MICH. casting- the C-68 was stamped on the bore part of this engine and C-3 on the bottom casting- vintage engine parts- you will get what is in picture-all parts were bolted together on this C-68-on the photo showing the Head, on that little round part there is a bolt head twisted off. Despite this bolt head twisted off, the head is still good. Just so you know. bolt could be drilled out and wouldnt affect the Head. by looking close on photo the small headless bolt stud can be seen- the big bottom casting is a C-3-the sprocket on bottom casting turns-and gear teeth are ok- Thanks Kevin

Restored Royal portable typewriter beautiful condition
For auction isthis restored Royal portable typewriter in beautiful condition. Built around 1930 the black enamel paint and the chrome is pristine for a machine this old. The keyboard is also is unblemished. All the working parts are functioning correctly. The kets are very smooth and easy to use and the old fashioned type is in top condition. I would point out that in a few of the photos it seems there are white spots on the paint but it is only tiny bits from the polishing rag. The paint has a deep lustre which is a credit to the Royal typewriter Co. If you are thinking of buying an old typewriter you will have to look hard to beat this one. 200 + years old Italian Carcassi Label Vintage Viola ( Middle VIolin )
It is a interesting antique viola. 200-250years old, it comes with a Italy maker Lorenzo Carcassi label inside. But lcoal luthier advise it is more connected to Naples school. The contour is in quite flat model. Top and bottom plate quite low. SOund holes and shape suggest typical 18 century work. The varnish is golden brown. Quite some retouch work. There are numerous stable repairs on top from past. Back has lighter repair well done. The length is 395-400mm. Quit light weight, top is wide grain material, back is plain material like many used in Naples violins. Currently it is immediate playable condition with NEW finger board.

These chrome hook Switches convert a normal AE 50 or 461 wall phone into a party line phone. These are all used but will function when installed. All functions work fine. Great Condition. Some light surface corrosion& rust pitting from years of storage, great petina. Weighs about 16 lbs. and measures 36-1/2" long by 20" wide. Fantastic flea market find! INDUSTRIAL STEAMPUNK vibe. Black leather bag with edge detailing. Brown leather handle. Bottom hinged with 4 metal ball feet. In nice antique condition. There is some wear to the leather handle and a few scuffs but other than that it’s in great shape. Push button latch functions well and the interior is clean. Exterior of case measures 13 1/2” w by 5” deep by 6 1/2” tall Not sure what it was originally used for. Inside has compartment with a silver hook clasp that measures 6 1/2” x 5 1/2” fits 4 x 5 film negatives nicely. perhaps a photographer’s accessory bag? The section next to it has cut-outs in the leather that look like it was intended to secure a sharp instrument. Writing utensil, doctor's supplies or maybe music reeds. The main compartment measures 13” by 5 1/2” There is s small 1/16” hole near the ... moretop on each side that looks like a small rod was once inserted to hold a retractable tray. so perhaps it was a mens travel case. Could be a doctors bag but most of those seem to have 2 handles. hmmm. anyone recognize its use? So curious. Have looked all over the internet and seen none exactly like it. Makes a great addition to any collection of antique cameras or luggage! The leather is very similar to my old antique Kodak bellows cameras. Great to store things in on a desktop or leave open to display old photos or postcards. Would also make a nice shop display. This seems to be a very nice 19th Century French or possibly German Stradivari model violin. It has a lovely one piece back and a very rich golden brown colour. It does not seem to have any damage and has been well cared for, the back measures 35.5cm and also it comes in a case with two bows, one looks quite decent.

VIOLIN ANTIQUE OLD 19th CENTURY UNUSUAL SQUARE SHAPE,ANTIQUE
This is a very unusual violin. Oblong or box shaped, it was found in a cellar of a pub in Scotland a few years ago, I have had it since then, as a wall hangar. It has a very distinctive shape and a nice patina, I think it will date from late 19th to early 20th century.
