This is a w orking antique door bell right f rom an ant ique home near t he seacoast N H. This has two parts. One goes on the ou ter side of the door.And consists of the crank and the bell portion goes on the inner. This retains its original patina as well as all the oops spots of paint. From previous house painters over time. The bell portion i s brass or bronze the rem ain der of this is cast i ron to inclu de a porcelain knob. The crank portion is embossed with a fancy design. The bell is worn but still reads Taylors Pat Oct 22 1860. There is also a mark on the i ron portion. this rings loudly and would clean up easily. Please ask any questions prior to bi dding. The box stamps this as the"no. 300/Midget" model, but one box flap is marked 301, so may actually be from a different doorbell. No screws are included-only what's shown in the pictures. Vintage Cast Iron Bearded MAN DOOR KNOCKER & DOOR PANEL
This is a Vintage Cast Iron DOOR KNOCKER of a man with a curly beard. He is handsome. Has horns like a goat, and wears a floral wreath so I think he's a Woodsman of a sort. The knocker is large and heavy enough to make a big thunk when struck. It measures about 10 3/4" tall x 5 1/4" wide x 1 5/8" deep but it's screwed to a wood, raised door panel all painted white with many coats years ago. The door panel is about 14 1/2" x 27 1/4" x 1 3/8" It's distressed with cracked caulking on the front, crazed paint on the back, and a small amount of rust on the knocker, otherwise it in very good condition considering the exposure to the weather it must have endured. I do believe that this is solid brass but it looks as if originally it was coated in a bronze colour. Antique Victorian Servants Signal Box + Bell (Indicator Butler Signal maid)
An unusual antique butlers bell box with integral bell. Professionally restored and fully tested. In 100% working order. It is stamped with a makers mark to the inside and underside. But I can't make them out. When a button in a room is pressed the bell on the box rings and the corresponding flag twinkles from side to side to alert the staff which room requires assistance. The hardwood case is beautifully crafted with box joints. Brass screws and hinges. The gold writing is in good condition with some areas of wear. It is in a nice flowing design and is complete with its original square nut fixings to the reverse.
