Available for your consideration is an Antique Dovetail Wood- Wooden Box with handle From a local estate sale and offered AS FOUND. I would assume that this box once held some type of tool(like maybe a surveyer's tool) but I do not know for sure. It is in overall good condition for age, and is structurally sound, but has some dirtiness and staining from use. There is also some surface scratching and a couple of surface holes on one side(they do not go all the way through the wood) Also. The best I came up with was it was taken out of the house when it was remodeled in the early 70's. and stored in the barn. The original house was over 100 years old, I don't think the door is that old. I will have about 20 more old doors from the same loft listed eventually. All I did with the door was clean it off with some Murphy's soap, nothing else. The lock is marked Yale on the jam side of the door. If your looking at this then you probably know more about it than I do. So if you have questions please ask. The door is not perfect. Antique Vintage Toilet Seat Hardware Pair of Brass Hinges
Here is a pair of old brass hinges that were commonly found on wooden toilet seats(most likely pre-1940's) One set has more oxidation and wear of the plating than the other. But they both have great patina. One set is missing the mounting nuts for the studs. And the other could use a thread-chasing as the nuts give a bit of resistance. Other than those mounting nuts, both sets are complete minus the original seat screws. Both sets have the outside seat mounts at approx. 7" apart. The inside seat mounts& bowl mounts are adjustable. This wooden carpenter's tool box was discovered at a small flea market in upper Bucks County Pennsylvania. Chock full of rusty-dirty charm. This box has outer strap hinges that were riveted on with brass. A set of strap hinges were added down the middle for added strength, these were fastened with antique wood screws. The bottom part of the padlock latch is attached to a modified strap hinge. The paint is chipped and chipping. There is an oil stain around the hinge of the padlock latch, someone penciled a circle on the lid*under* the handle- so the circle, apparently, is from before the handle was added.and that handle has been attached for a long time! Inside there is a tray with a hole cut out of it to accommodate some unknown tool of yester-year. The tray must have been made from an old crate as the word"GLASS" can still ... morebe seen stenciled on one board. On the outside. Below the lid, there is a thin notch, one can only wonder what function that notch was cut for. The often missing handles on the side are firmly attached with antique wood screws. Measures: 31. 15/16 inches wide- 9, 3/8 inches deep and 10, 1/2 inches tall. This box is sturdy with no loose screws. Inside the shelf is dirty, there are water stains on the bottom and inside. Dovetail Corners. Inset Brass Hinges, Incredible This is an amazing antique oak box that once held sewing machine accessories, as evident from the metal brackets of different sizes and shapes inside. The box is ingenious and finely made, with dovetail corners, and thin brass hinges that are inset into the wood. A clasp on the inside holds it shut. A groove on the outside allows you to pull open the"top" and the box opens out to a flat shape by means of hinges at all the edges. Four separate triangular pieces of wood on both sides of the box make it possible to open the box to the flat position. The inside is lined with a soft fabric, one corner of which is coming loose. Inscribed on the top is an oval with"Patented 1889, February 19" inside the oval. This treasure measures 6.5 inches long by 3.25 inches high by 3.25 inches ... moredeep, closed. Extended, it is about 12.5 inches long. This lot of hinges would be great for a person renovating an old house and needs some nice matching hinges. Marked 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Good old vintage cast iron is stronger and harder than the new soft stuff they use in modern reproduction hinges. Likely cast in the last 1880's to the early 1900's. The acorns are nickel on brass and it has worn some in places and the brass shows through in some areas. These have a nice smooth. Clean casting. The pins are loose and removable. These hinges are ready to go and swing for the next 100 years.

If you want them rustic use as is, otherwise the part I cleaned off took a little effort. These are from an old farm in NC. I don't know anything about hinges or the terminology used. But these open past 90 degrees, but do not fold all the way back. I would guess they open to about 120 degrees.
