I have up for auction a lot of 24 Antique Cast Iron Acme Shutter Hinges. These were purchased at an old house auction. There are 14 hinges that are marked R and there are 10 hinges that are marked L. They all are marked Acme Pat. 1 1/2. I am not sure but the way I layed them out I think there will be 10 complete sets with 4 extra rights. These are 3" up and down and 5" wide when open. Acme Lull and Porter Exterior Shutter Hinges and Fasteners These are brand new. In the package, Antique Reproductions of the old Shutter Hinges and Fasteners on many historical homes and buildings. One complete set will accommodate one set of shutters on one window. Your set will come in a manufacturer sealed package. I have removed one set to photograph. To be used in the applications when enough wood trim is exposed within the window opening to mount the shutters. Antique Victorian walnut/mahogany window double shutter w/brass hinges
Offered for auction is this very nice antique Victorian inside window double shutter with super brass/bronze hinges. These shutters were mounted inside the window casing inside the home and used to close off the light or cold. The very dark side is the side that faced the window. Someone has begun to refinish the shutter and you can see the beautiful Mahogany or Walnut wood in the stripped side. This would make a super door front for a cabinet. These small hinges came off a mirror cabinet made in the 1850’s. They are as good as they get in vintage hinges. The hinges are solid brass and have a some dents and fine scratches that have happened over the years from use. They have little or no wear in the pins. There is a small amount of white paint remnants in the crevices and on the back*They were cleaned with water after the heavy white paint was removed. These hinges are 3" long and 1 5/16" wide. These small hinges are new old stock and have been lightly used or not at all. They are nice and tight with no play. There is tarnish from storage. They were from an old woodworkers work shop.
