Vintage/Antique Butlers Bell, Wall Box and Bell Push
This is a vintage/antique butlers bell that we had purchased out of England for an old home we were renovating. But have since moved out of. It was manufactured in England by Ever Ready. I am not sure of the age of it. It has a very long string with a wooden handled push bell attached to the end of it, the button pushes easily but does not ring the bell. Also, the bell itself has lost it silver coating on about half of the surface. The wooden wall box measures approx. 5 1/4" by 5 1/4" with a depth of approx. 4 1/4 inches in depth overall. The Magic Mirror Door Detective Door peephole with a larger window and the window has a two way mirror. The inside has a knob on the side that lets you open and close the eye. Does not stick to a magnet. Excellent accent for an old home restoration. Original patina left on. Could be polished up to a sharp look. The mirror itself is about 2" in diameter. This is a really nice old brass door knocker in the form of a horseshoe.It is a nice quality piece and probably date to about 1920-1940.It measures 5.5 inches top to bottom and is 4.2 inches at its widest.The knocker is fitted with 2 screws[ present] through the back plate into the door frame.The knocker is in pretty good original condition. Unusual Antique Iron & Brass Door / House / Mansion / Bells Carousel Ringer
Here we have a very unusual architectural hardware item.an antique Bell Carousel. It is made of wrought iron and the bells are brass. These were used as door bells on some of the finer homes and mansions around the turn of the century or could have also been to call for the servants. This measures at it's largest dimensions. 18 1/2 inches high. 10 1/4 in diameter of the carousel(including the bells) and 10 1/2 inches from where it attaches to the wall to the tip of the handle. The overall condition is normal wear, scratches, surface rust, tarnished bells, and rust inside most of the bells. Please see pictures for a better description. There are 6 bells all made of brass, 4 of them have the original clappers inside, 1 has been replaced and 1 is missing and the loop for the clapper is gone. Functionally this is working great.it turns easily ... moreand freely.in the last picture it is turning. And it sounds lovely! A great piece of history. I do not generally melt anything that is well made as it makes little sense to me. So any potential loss should be considered before purchasing my items. All my items are measured with a standard tape measure and are rounded off to the quarter inch. I attempt to be as accurate as possible. Beautiful Solid Antique Brass Door knocker with Lions Head. Measures approx. 4 inches by 6 inches and is quite heavy. Overall good pre-owned condition with only minor signs of wear and tear/age. It could be left as is or it would polish up nicely. There are some areas of white overspray paint. I assume from where it was previously mounted. The paint comes off very easily. This is a beautiful. Old door knocker! Made of gilt bronze or very heavy gilt brass, this lovely door knocker features a finely detailed and dimensional lion face door mount. The knocker ringed section is very heavy as well and features a French or English barley type twist design. The piece is in very good condition with some patina in the crevices which lends to the aged character of the door knocker. It has a grand and stately appearance and feel. It measures 6.5" tall. The lion face door plate is 4" wide and the twisted ring is 3.5" wide. The piece extends 1.75" from the door. It is heavy for its size. Shipping via UPS with insurance included. Paypal accepted.
