This three-headed Hound of Hell would loyally stand guard by the river Styx under Hades' command. The door knocker is massive& heavy. It features incredible attention to detail inspired by the Neo-Gothic movement and executed in a Rococo style. The asymmetrical fabrication of each dog's head. Body and serpentine tail make this door knocker seem alive. Hades' head receives each blow from the immense striker as if to awaken him to announce one's arrival. Construction is solid brass. These were removed from the Elms House in London a long time ago and I have kept them with the intention of putting them back to work with a smaller bell system but never actually came around to do it. BIG - OLD Antique Bronze Brass HEAD / Bust - William Shakespeare Door Knocker
Old bronze or brass head of William Shakespeare; the front part ONLY. Of a door knocker, with nice real patina, from age. It has a couple tiny paint drips, but not bad. It had a string through the back hole part, and was hung on a wall when I bought it. It is approx. 4 1/2" long, and 3 1/2" across the widest part. It is in good condition, with wear from age and use. On the back, it shows the maker: B.E.L. and the connector part and the bottom part to knock on the door. I know it is only the front part of the knocker, but it's still nice, and HEAVY for its size.

Very old 1800s wall mount gate or House bell. There is a pulley and an arm on the bell for a rope or chain. The bell is large 4" tall and 5" Diameter base. The Filigree wall mount is 13" diameter. The mount is a delicate filigree iron that was probably black at one time. It can be cleaned and done in stove black to look great. One piece is broken on the mount but it does not affect the function. Very rare and unusual. Found in a barn near Lake Champlain in New England

Mid Century Modern Nutone 4 Chime Doorbell with Telechron Clock From a New York estate comes this extremely clean. Vintage Nutone doorbell with 4 brass tubes and a Telechron clock, all in mid century modern styling. It was installed new in the late 1950's when the home was built, then taken down in 1966 due to remodeling, according to the adult son of the original owner. He said it worked fine when removed, but I can't test it so no guarantee is being offered. It is being sold"as is" It will operate 1. 2 or 3 doorbells which is typically front, back and side. A switch reads"4-8 note" which I assume is the number of chimes when the doorbell is pushed. The 1" diameter brass tubes vary in length from 35 to 46 inches and are dent free. The wiring diagram is on an index card in the handwriting of the man who took ... moreit off the wall originally. The clock cover is blond wood. Original finish with brass accents instead of numerals and two brass clock hands. The case measures 10 x 8 x 5 inches and is in mint condition. The overall length from top to bottom is approximately 50 inches. The mounting bracket is enclosed as well as other mounting hardware in a zip-lock bag. Someone took great care in removing this doorbell. Which would likely indicate it worked and was worth handling with care. I hope you can put this doorbell to good use for many more years. The tubes will be shipped in one box and the clock case and mechanics will be in another. These are very hard to find, especially in this condition.

I was told that it had been on a Victorian home and they were selling a lot of these kinds of things from old homes. I was not told exactly how old it is. VINTAGE KILLARK Porcelain DOORBELL TRANSFORMER
This is a used Killark porcelain doorbell transformer that is in excellent condition.This is sealed porcelain transformer 120/14volt. That has been tested and still works. Made by Killark Electric Mfg.Co. of St. Louis and has original wiring diagram on the back.There is some dirt marks and some slight rust on the secondary terminals.
