This ... moreis the complete set recently removed from an old ice box refrigerator… it includes the latch. Handle and all three door hinges! As a bonus. Even the 24 screws are included! The latch and handle hinges are about 2½” tall x 1” wide, and the entire handle is 4½” long. The back of the door hinges are about 3” tall x 1¼” wide and the front piece is about 3” wide x 1½” tall. The set seems to be for a ½” to ⅝” door thickness. The handle is the only piece marked: on its back it reads“ Pat Jul 21” There was no name on the ice box or hardware. So I don’t know who made the set. As shown in the photos, the pieces are all in very good condition for their age. They all have a true vintage patina on the exposed surfaces and very little paint along the edges. I did not see any cracks or breaks in any of these brass pieces… basically just normal wear from use. It’s about 1⅓ lbs of vintage brass hardware. These antique ice box hardware pieces would be great to complete your restoration project! Take a look at the photos to best judge condition. Large Heavy Vintage Solid Brass / Bronze Right Hand Door Handle / Pull / Latch
This is a Large. Heavy Vintage Solid Brass or Bronze Door Handle. I cannot say for sure if the handle is bronze or brass. Perhaps the weight will be an indication for a knowledgeable prospective buyer. Although it did not show up well on the photo. The back of the moveable plate on the back is engraved with"FOR RIGHT HAND DOOR" Beyond that, there is no maker's mark nor any other marks. The overall length of this large handle including the upper and lower back plates is about 11 1/4" It weighs 1 pound. 9 ounces and it has a nice heavy feel. It is missing the effects cables to operate the chroma keyer and positioner(I never had them) But the person I purchased it from said that those features worked fine. The video switching feature works fine. It needs a new on/off toggle switch. It also features a control room to camera man one way audio feature. Vintage Ed Cumings? Standard 14" Creel with Joseph Anderson Patented Latch
Here is a vintage fishing creel that is in excellent condition. Although there are no markings on it. I believe this is the Ed Cumings Standard 14" Creel based on the fact that it has the Joseph Anderson Patented Latch(patent# 2085564) which was done under Ed Cumings, Inc. The creel measures 14" long, about 7" wide, and approximately 8 1/2" tall. It is really in beautiful shape and has a great rich honey color to it. not at all fading and weathered. The only thing I see wrong with it is that one of the back wicker tries is showing a bit of wear and there is a bit of wear/discoloration on the bottom of the creel. The latch is solid cast iron and nothing like the pressed junkie steel ones you’ll find at a home center. These are usually referred to as utility latches because of the wide range of uses. I’ve seen these used on transom windows, cabinets, casement windows almost anyplace you’d like to use a unique looking latch. The latch and keeper will work on either right ... moreor left hand side of door or window. The latches are cast iron and the keepers are steel. The keepers are not original to the latches but are the correct type for them. The condition is very good with the latches having age darkening dings and scratches and loss of finish from age. These are still somewhat stiff to turn and are not all wobbly like many I come across. All I did to these was a quick wipe down with an oiled rag. The approximate measurements of the latch base are 1 1/2” x 1 3/8” The T-handle or grasp is 1 5/8” across. The keeper is 1 ½” wide at its widest point x 1 ½” Circ. about the middle of last century. Oil has been applied but they should have a final cleaning and clear coated or painted for continued protection. Please take a look at the many other antique hardware items I have listed. Snoopy Latch Hook Rug The rug has a beautiful blue background with greens and browns. It measures 15 inches high and about 35 1/2 inches wide. The yarn is 100% acrylic. The edges have all been sewn so it won't fray. It is in very good used condition. It just has a few marks on the reverse side from the wood strips that held it on the wall. The front looks great. You could use this as a rug or as a wall decoration. I bought this latch hook rug kit at Woolworth's in the 1970s. It was made by Malina and the design was called On the Road. After I completed it. I displayed it as a wall hanging for a time. Since then, I have had it securely stored in my smoke-free home. This depiction of Snoopy as a hobo was a familiar one in the 1970s.
