This is a vintage EAGLE LOCK Rim Night Latch. All us older folks remember these on the back door. Made sure it was locked at night. This one is unused and still in the original display box. Box is a bit beat. But it is all there. Includes all the parts and an instruction sheet, with the 2 keys. The color is like the gold in the first picture. Has a crackle finish. This is a vintage metal tackle box- marked Union Steel Chest Corp. Leroy, NY, Made in USA, Pat. No. 161530. Original tag says Model No. 5419. There is another tag with the date 17 Jun 66 written on it. This is a very nice, classic, vintage piece. It has been used and shows the scuffs and wear from over 40 years of fishing trips. But it still has lots of use left it in. Please examine the pictures closely for best idea of condition. Nice, solid tackle box. It has a Spill Proof latch that helps insure that even if the latch hasn't been locked, as long as the lid is fully closed, you can still lift it without spilling. Nice brass early mid century door lockset manufactured by Dexter for your consideration. This lockset comes to you nearly complete other than the two brass screws for the strikeplate catch and the original catch for the secondary locking latch that works with the turnkey. Most any brass catch would work for this. The large handle is solid brass and the thumb latch spring feels good for reuse. This set comes with two latches. One for the doorknob handle set latch and the other for the secondary locking latch. Most of the brass will clean up some as well. This is a standard 2 3/8 inch offset although it was taken off an exterior entrance door. There is no key although any locksmith could make one for this lockset. Vintage HARDYS 1920 S TELEPHONE LATCH UNIQUE FLY REEL
A real nice 1920 s HARDYS UNIQUE FLY REEL its in excellent condition no line burns or wable in the spool. It has an excellent warned patena with its brass fittings and a telephone spool latch. The ribbed brass foot is unfiled and the backelight handle is in excellent shape. Its 3 3/8 in diameter and is set up for left hand wind and has duel pawls. I love fishing this reel such quality I personally dip all my reels that cleans and eats grime but is gentle not to eat metal and does a great job of cleaning and bringing out the character made in the patena it doesn't get much better. Carl Mercer has etched his name on the top.along with"March 1927" Another very interesting feature is a turnkey latch which allowed the lid to pop open when carried by its wooden handle. Antique Vintage Wood Doll Handkerchief Glove Box Trunk Latch & Bentwood Handles
Fresh from an upstate New York estate! This offering is for a primitive light wooden box or doll trunk measuring 12" wide. 6 1/4" deep and 5 1/2" high. I believe it to be a handmade doll trunk as I found a primitive"Mammy" rag doll and an old celluloid doll inside(sold separately) but it could have also been used as a glove or handkerchief box. The trunk consists of wood panels nailed together with three narrow slats attached on top and one on the front. The wood finish is richly aged but there are stains near the old nail heads- which only gives it more character. To each end there is a bentwood handle. These look like they were an afterthought to the original construction. The front has an old aged tin lever latch. When the lever is vertical the box is latched shut. When flipped to the left, the box latch is open. ... moreInside the cover is attached a paper picture of a Victorian dressed woman. The bottom of the trunk is papered but the paper is stained and torn. A strap of burlap to the left side is no longer attached to it's nail to hold the cover from flopping back. The only splits in the wood slats are two short edge splits on the bottom. Each is aprox. 2" long and does not affect the structural integrity of the box. This would be the perfect addition to any antique doll lover's collection or use it for a trinket or small treasure box. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ! My Policies: No international shipping. NO EXCEPTIONS.
