Large Vintage Corbin Exterior Door Mortise Latch Lock Door Plate 9" long
This is a vintage brass exterior door mortise set. It has 2 push buttons to allow the exterior knob to be locked and unlocked. The mortise appears to be in working condition. The brass plate measures 9" long and 1 1/4" wide. The mortise measures 6 3/4" long. 3 1/4" deep, and 3/4" wide. The square hole for the handle is 2 1/4" to the center from the plate and 1 1/2" to center from the top of mortise. The square hole is large, 1/2" from corner to corner. The round hole at the bottom is 1" across. For some reason the plate looks bent in the picture but I took a level to it and it is straight and level. Please email any questions. Buyer pays shipping. Here I have a vintage used primitive black painted thumb push door handle latch hardware set in nice condition. The handle is 10" long with screw holes that are 7 3/4" apart. The thumb push part is 6 3/4" long with the push being 1 3/8" wide. The catch latch piece is 3 1/4" long with screw holes 2 1/2" apart. Included are a pair of period red clay black glazed doorknobs that are in good condition where collars are tight for reuse and should clean up some. Scuffing and dings consistent with their age. Doorknob rosette, keyhole cover, and standard 1/4 inch drive rod. Box measures approx. 3 x 4 inches and is in good condition with no cracks or breaks. Appears to be nicely intact upon inspection and is a reversible latch slide simply by opening box with a single screw and flipping the latch slide. Will need a key to lock room while away since original keys flat is broken off, so, will have to find one that fits or have one made if you want to lock room while away. VINTAGE ANTIQUE CORBIN MORTISE SOLID BRASS SCREEN DOOR KNOB & HANDLE LATCH SET
This is a antique mortise set with solid brass handles for a screen door. It is marked Corbin. It is in working condition but does not have a key. The brass plate is 7" long and 2 1/4" wide. The mortise plate is 6 1/8" long and 1" wide. The mortise is 2 5/8" deep. 4 1/4" long, and 5/8" wide. The hole for the shaft is 2" to the center from the plate and 7/8" to the center from the top. This is a heavy piece of cabinet hardware. I don't know if it was ever used. It may be brass. But I have no way of testing. This may be a reproduction, but it is not new. The combined size of the base when both pieces are together is 2 1/4 by 1 3/4 inches. Height is 3 inches with the part that moves in the up position.
