Antique Vintage wood Door Gothic , great hardware church like MICHIGAN
Hi for sale I have this great old antique door. It has a church gothic look. The doore has great old iron hardware. I noticed on the back that the door was built with antique square nails. The door is quite thin. But it was an exteroir door at one time. It measures: 83" tall x 35 4/5" wide x 1" thick. I think doors like this look great humg on walls. The last photo shows how I have hung a pair of doors on my family room wall. If I had more room, this Gothic door would be hung in my house! The door does have some damage, please see photos. 1930's fire door 2-1/2" thick 68" wide 92" high on tall side 88" tall on short side. Manufactured by Willis in Galesburg IL. Around the 1930's UL Tags on the door. There is a counter weight attached by a rope to a pulley system that allows the very heavy door to slide open and closed with very little effort. It’s made of solid heart pine and has a unique arrangement of 10, true-divided, glass lites. It looks as if the door was once a traditional. 15-lite French door, but at some point, someone replaced 2 rows of glass, molding, and mullions, with 1 large lite. Restoration: At the point of salvage. The door was completely stained, missing molding, and was without hardware. Since then, we’ve stripped it, added molding around the large, single lite, and added hardware. The molding we added looks lighter in color now. But once you stain the door, it will blend in. Hardware: We added some vintage hardware to complement the door’s style. It’s equipped with a mortise lock with key. 2 glass knobs with brass stems, ... more2 copper-plated brass escutcheons, and 2 brass-plated, ball-tip, steel hinges. Offered are two. Never-used"Big 4" barn door rollers made by National Manufacturing of Sterling, Illinois. To be clear, these are not 100-year old antiques, and are likely of late 20th century manufacture. Each roller is about 10 inches long and 5-3/4 inches wide at the horseshoe-shaped part. The pulleys themselves are about 3-1/4 inch. These are pretty heavy-duty hangers and each weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. While the rollers were never used. They do have considerable paint loss and light corrosion in those areas. There is no damage or deformation anywhere in the metal. They are as perfectly functional as the day they were made. Vintage Brass letter slot Front Door Mail Hardware
I am selling a used vintage brass mail slot. Years ago it was very common to have your mail delivered door to door by the postman who would simply slip the envelopes through the slot and the mail would drop safely inside the house. This mail slot shows wear but does function well when I push on the door to open the slot. I washed it off but did not try to shine it up. There are some areas of oxidation near one of the screw holes that needs to be cleaned off. The spring mechanism has some rust on the surface that I tried to show you with some pictures. The slot is approximately 7 1/2 by 2 1/4 inches. I do not know if this slot had a back plate for inside the house. It does not come with one. I will try to answer any questions that you may have. Up for auction today are two very ornate Victorian Art Deco style door hinges. The hinges are very ornate on the pins. Front and back portion that would be exposed when installed. They measure 5” by 5” when open and 1/8” thick. Total height including the pins is 8” The only markings are 5 x 5 on the backside. It appears that they were bronze/ copper plated at one time. But most of the plating is missing. There is some tan paint in spots and a little bit of surface rust– no pitting. I have an unusual pressed or stamped. Nickel plated steel lot of 8 old door latches for your consideration. These could be in nice reusable condition with a little cleaning and lube. All the springs seem to be intact and work. A little sticky on a couple. I am uncertain of there age although my guess would have been from a wooden built in cabinet or cupboard door from the late 20's early 30's. They have a deco pattern on handles. Nicely, these appear to have had a flush strikeplate application so you will be able to find something that would work more easily. Might be a nice addition for a reworked piece of furniture or cabinet/cupboard door. measure 1 7/16 inches from ctr to ctr of mounting screw holes. VINTAGE RARE Large Snow White 3 door ice Box Enamel Refrigerator with hardware
This item was purchased at an Estate auction.This is a very rare vintage Snow White ice box refrigerator. Enamel covered. It is a large refrigerator, and is 32" wide, 16" wide(with 2" handles included) and 50 1/2' tall. The larger compartment for food is 13" by 16" and 36" tall. Lower compartment under ice chamber for frozen foods is 12" by 16" and 10" tall. The ice compartment is 12" by 16" and 23" tall(drain tube runs down lower unit and out the bottom) The footed legs are about 8" tall under item. For the most part, this item is in really good condition. There are a few sections of enamel missing, and a little rust in places(please make sure to look at photos closely) All of the hardware(handles, latches and hinges) are all on the item, and all function just fine. The ... moregaskets on the doors are old, and should be replaced, but are there, worn in spots. This is one of the original Snow White ice box refrigerator units, and are extremely hard to find. Interesting lot of old doorknob rosettes escutcheons for your consideration. I am not sure of what there original use was for because of there smaller size. I am guessing they were an early doorknob application from entry doors in homes. They might have been an early furniture backplate as well. Could be used either way I suppose depending on your need. No manufacturing marks. There is a very small amount of original copper Jappanning still evident on a couple of these which I think were there original finish. There are ten in this lot measuring an unusual smaller size at 1 1/2 inches across. Center holes are 3/8 of an inch. large enough for a standard 1/4 inch mortise driverod. These are in very nice condition. All the seating cleats are intact with no break or cracks. These would work nicely on cabinet or furniture resoration as well. Nice lot of four matching cast iron doorknob keyhole backplates for your consideration. these were aquired with locksets where the lock faceplates had the bluebird or swallow pattern on them. I think these might have been the original plates for that design. Although I am not sure since I can not cross reference the manufacture catalog number on the back of each. Which is 5940. Measure 5 3/8 x 1/12 inches. 2 1/4 inch from ctr of knob to ctr of skeleton key barrel. A nice lot of harder to find Early period Victroian Eastlake cast iron backplates. All the plates are in good condition and I suspect that they might even clean up nicely to the original copper Jappanned finish, since they appear to have quite a bit of old varnish that would have protected them over the many years of service. This is a fine old pair of antique cannon ball style barn door rollers. They carry wear and rust consistent with their age- but they roll well and they are complete. These use cannon ball style track still made by the Cannon Ball Roller Company- formerly H.H.F. Co. of Harvard. Ill. The rollers are are model X149- which is embossed on each piece.
