This auction is for the ones pictured herewith consisting of two brass plates that measure 11 3/4" tall and at widest are 3 1/4" They are very fancy and looks like a heart design at top. With it are two locks and two rings and two screws. The locks are marked Made in USA 156. There are no keys. The mortise with the brass faceplate attached is marked B L Co. and I am showing a close up of that. The doors knobs are oval and they do match but the one is smaller than the other and I think that is probably original. The one measures about 2 7/8" and other 2 5/8" and they do match the design on the plates. This is a very nice all original with nice patina brass door hardware set. I guarantee it to be old and original and not a reproduction. It has been so long since these have been used that the mortise lock may need to be overhauled to work properly. Great vintage iron owl shaped bracket swing lock! Nice vintage condition with only little to no wear from previous use! 5 1/8 inches tall and 2 inches wide. The swing arm is 6 1/2 long. Lot Vintage Backplate Door Handle Old Hardware Metal Matching Pairs Group Brass
Lot of 5 vintage backplates. Including 2 sets. The first pair is 1 1/2 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches tall, brass; one of these has a locking mechanism, but it appears to be stuck-not corroded, just bent or something. The other pair is more decorative, and about 8 inches tall-one painted white, the other is not painted. The final backplate is ten(10) inches tall and three(3) inches wide. Here is a nice vintage set of cabinet door handles and the decorative hardware that was on the doors. The cabinet was discarded but these great handles were salvaged! They are nice and substantial. The handles measure 7 inches from tip to tip. The hardware is faux brass- I thought it was brass but a light scratch revealed a silver color. Originally, all parts were brass plated, however only traces of brass remain. At the point of salvage all parts were covered under layers of paint. This is a heavy vintage an gorgeous solid brass door knocker. The overall design of this Door Knocker is that of an Eagle atop a scallop shell. Measures 8" long plus 4" wide. Really Nice. Weight is 2 lbs 4 oz. It has two screw holes on the back. One is at the top of the figure head and the other at the base of knocker. It has a nice solid ring to it when you tap the knocker.
