Up for auction are two vintage sliding cabinet latches. Both are functional. But one is missing the knob. The brass coating is worn, but adds to the character of the latch. They are perfect if you are looking for latches that do not look brand new. The main portion of the latch measures 1" x 1 3/8" and the catch portion measures 9/16" x 1 3/8" The packaging is not the original packaging with these latches. I purchased some NOS chrome latches that were the exact same size as the brass latches in this auction to match the rest of the latches on the cabinet so I decided to put the brass latches on the cardboard packaging since the packaging may have some antique value to them. Vintage Cabinet Part This is a used vintage 3/8" offset S latch off of a Sellers Cabinet. These are rare to find in useable condition. This is a old original piece in used condition. Latch seems to work. May need some adjustment moves lever but maby not as far as it originly did. This will show some wear from years of use. This will also show signs of aging. This comes with the catch and mounting screws seen in photo. This measures 2-1/4" tall. 1-1/8" wide measured across back of latch. Photos show condition fairly well. Flash makes it look a little more shiny than it is. AS many of you know that work on these cabinets the original latch is heavier and better built than the reproduction latches. Vintage Brass Glass Wall Curio with Latch Door - great for miniatures Cabinet
The curio measures 8" x 6 1/4" x 2" and is the perfect size for displaying miniature collectibles and keeping them safe and dust-free. It has 4 small shelves: Top shelf is 6 1/4" wide by 2 3/4" high. 2 small shelves. Each is 2" by 2 1/4" Tallest shelf is 5 1/4" tall by 3 3/4" wide. The brass has a nice age related patina. The curio has a little latch that slides to allow the door to open and locks so the door can't swing open by accident. There are 2 brass semi-rings at the top for hanging it on your wall. The glass has 3 cracks in the corner of the top/ceiling pane as seen in the last photo. Fortunately when it is on the wall around eye level. The cracks cannot be seen. Cabinet catch jelly cupboard latch RARE brass T knob old vintage 2 1/2" clean I have had lots of latches but this is a first of this pattern. These were used on cabinets. Jelly cupboards and all sorts of furniture. The T knob is solid cast brass with flowers cast all over it. There are delicate ferns and a nice beaded decorations on the edges. The finish is old cast iron that has aged well and what is left has a rustic look. Leave it as it is to age naturally or repaint it. It is 2 1/2" long and it is 2 1/4" wide. I added a few drops of oil so it will be ready to use.
