Bronze Victorian door bell& pull set. Circa 1860-70's. Includes bronze bell, bronze lever pulley and mercury glass knob pull. Bell works great and rings twice with one pull. Pulley has some scratches on the face. Knob has mercury loss and is clear on the backside and the edges. the spindle is also rusty and a little loose through the screw-rosette from wear and the elements- glass is in very good shape. There is some writing inside on the bell base. But I cannot read it. Overall a great set with character! They had a grease pencil mark that said"SOLD" so I am guessing it was purchased as an antique to install. But never did. I have done no rework or restoration to it. This is a vintage lot of 9 door knob sets and back plates. Nice overall condition as none of the knobs seems to be damaged. I believe that the door knobs are bakelite but I am not absolutely certain. All sets have 2 knobs and 2 backplates except for one set that has both knobs but only 1 back plate. All show wear consistent with age(paint. Old Vintage Lot of 7 Glass Doorknob sets. This set includes 14 glass handles. 8 round handle trim pieces, and 7 Dexter insides. Most of the auctions listed do not include the trim pieces or backplates. I even have the old brass screws. two screws are new and not brass. Each of the glass handles as well as the round face plates measures approximately 2" in diameter. The inside parts are 4-1/4" long while engaged. All of the glass is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. I only noticed one scuff. They do need cleaning. Please note paint marks on the glass as well as the metal pieces. It can be removed I checked. I would consider them excellent condition. Also some slight tarnish to the Dexter parts. One knob is the star pattern and not the round style. It also appears newer. The matching back plate with it is also newer ... moreand a different style. I would suggest putting mismatched knob on the inside of a closet door or a basement door. My house has all the star ones but I actually prefer the look of the round ones. The are mirrored backed. Lot of 4 old brass door knob back plates. Manufactured by Sargent&Co. But actual age unknown. Very good used condition. Should polish up real nice or use as is. They are all the same style pattern( 845TM) but each one has a different lock accommodation. One has a turn buckle, one looks like it had a turn buckle at one time, one has a skeleton key hole, and one has a large round hole( 1 1/2 inches) for a lock mechanism.
