A outstanding pair of Victorian door knobs in excellent condition. They are not solid brass or bronze although they appear to be because a magnet can stick to the end of the knob. So when you see the question mark in the Title you know why its there. Beautifully constructed with a exquisite design. Length end of cap to end of cap is 5 1/4 inches the heads are 2 1/4 inches in diameter. Complete with shaft and screw.

Antique Russell& Erwin 1895 Art Noveau pattern. In excellent condition. Plates measure 1-7/8" x 7'1/4" and are of heavy weight stamped brass. Two cast brass. Heavy-weight knobs measure 2-1/4" each way at their widest points(diameter and length. The original spindle and original set screws are included; no screws for the door plates and no mortise lock. These antiques have their original finish.appears to have have a bright copper finish on the recesses of the pattern, and a more dull copper finish for the rest of the plates and knobs. CHARMING OLD ORIGINAL VICTORIAN DOOR KNOB PASSAGE SET Here is a Victorian era door knob set with what appears to be brass plated steel knobs. Oodles of patina from decades of use make it hard to tell what is below the surface. The spindle is an unusual 2 piece“wedge” type. The knobs are about 2– ½” in diameter and would adjust to fit a door thickness of between 1– ½” to 3” The wood has a nice patina and the knife seems to be sharp. I bought eight different pairs of rosette covers over the years that I liked but never used and am selling them in other auctions. Beautiful old door hardware. UNIQUE! Victorian-looking Decorative and Stylish. HAT RACK/ ROBE HOOK for hallway. Back-of-door, powder room, guest room. Pretty enough to go anywhere! In beautiful shades of Brown Topaz. Rust, Amber. The doorknob is like a real solid glass knob and when the light shows through, it's spectacular. The smaller hook at the bottom is a lighter shade of those colors, but also jewel-like. The lighter shade of golden brown in the smaller knob make a nice contrast between the two. The back plate is metal and built up on two levels with a pretend keyhole on the top plate and pretty lacy metalwork on the bottom plate. It has a hanger at the top. What a great looking antique door knob set! Has a matching set of white porcelain knobs which are in very nice condition no chips or cracks a little tiny touch of normal age spotting. See pictures. Has a matching set of brass door plate with a great art deco design to them, nice patina with a little old paint on the very edge. These would look great on any antique Victorian mission deco art nouveau home. Even has the lock set with this.
