3 ANTIQUE BLACKSMITH FORGED CAST IRON STRAP HINGES
You are bidding on three antique cast iron. Blacksmith forged barn door/gate strap hinges, all probably from the late 1800's. The first hinge is 19" long and 1.5" wide at the hinge tapering to 1" at the spade head. It is 1/4" thick from the hinge to the head. The opening in the hinge is approximately 1/2" in diameter. Strap still has old paint on it. The second hinge is 21" long and 2" wide from hinge to end. It is 1/2" thick at the hinge and tapers to approximately 1/4" at the end. The hinge is 3/4" in diameter. It is very old and has square holes. The third hinge is 24 1/4" long by 1.5" wide from hinge to the rounded end and is 1/4" thick through the entire length. Hinge opening is 1/2" in diameter. Two large barn door strap hinges with lots of character. Measures 27" long. These were used on a very old industrial building. They both have a couple of bends/tweaks to them but overall very good shape. The top one does have the edge of the hinge(not the strap part) that has a bent corner that needs hammered back out.
