57 pc lot! 1800 Antique Cast Iron Shutter Dogs HINGES & various HARDWARE
i am not an expert on these pc's.i picked them up at a local(NH) farm house estate sale. Knowing they had age to them, and intriqued by the forged look! upon gathering info. I have discovered they were shutter dog/hinges. amongst other interesting. Related do dads, from same lot. they measure appox 3 1/2" long. i used the quarter to show help gauge sizes of the various pcs. the camera panned the same'lot' in the same place.i did not move any pcs for the multiple close ups. they seem strong(altho i did not try to hammer them into anything! and not delicate or brittle. plz view photos. I recently acquired these at an estate sale and they were bought attached to a display board. I hit the pieces with a dry scrub brush and easily knocked most of the surface rust off. For sale are Lull and Porter antique cast iron shutter hinges and pulls. These are the half of the hinges that screws to the house. There are four right hand. Five left hand, four pulls, six latches, 32 large flat head screws and 24 small flat head screws. These came from a 18th century house in historic Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. These are in good condition.

Very old vtg shutter my grandparents used around the back wall above and to the sides of their bed. I used two metal brackets to make it a shelf. The holes were pre-drilled to prevent cracking or splintering of the wood. It measures 19 × 9 1/2 × 8 1/8 inches total. There will be other listing for uses of the remaining shutters. The shutter blinds do move both direction to allow for open or shut display. You decide on being hung with brackets up or down. With the mounting piece of wood that was used then to attach it to the shelf frame it could be used for hanging a cloth or towel or fabric of sort. But also as a ridge to keep anything from rolling of the top. Two eyelets are used for hanging this shelf.
