It is mounted in a solid brass plate with brass screws with delightful oxidation. I tested the switch's function and. Due to its age, is intermittent on continuity. May just need a good cleaning and greasing, but in reality, any of these antique electrical devices shouldn't be used in modern day environments since they were only rated for 10 amp loads, the code in those days. Nowadays, switches and receptacles are rated at 15 amps, minimum. Like everything from the early 1900's. It is Made in USA! In the late 1960's I removed this from a then soon-to-be demolished Logan Estate mansion along the Delaware River where Neshaminy State Park is now in Bensalem. PA. Up for auction. We have this very rare Canada Dry Hi-Spot tin twelve inch push plate. It is in near-mint condition and is a product of the 1940's/1950's. This is a magnificent Canada Dry item(Hi-Spot) It has four colors, red, green, white, and black. It has been in my collection for over twenty years. This is a painted door push from So. Grape Flavored Soda. It has never been used or hung. But it has some slight damage, just from"laying around" All 4 of the embossed corners have been bumped and have small paint loss. I've shown a picture of the bottom right corner, which is be far the worst, but even it is hard to see just holding it in your hand, as you can tell from my first overall photo. Also, the white paint has yellowed from age, but it looks very nice and I'm sure the winner will be please with it hanging on their wall! Handicap push plates for automatic door control. 3 of these plates are essentially brand new because they were installed brand new and immediately replaced with card readers. I did a google search and search through 100’ s of pictures and found no other examples of a push button switch. It is possible a limited run or one of a kind. The plate was made by the same company that made door stops. Banks, book ends, and all sorts of cast iron toys. It is a solid cast plate making it a heavy plate. There are no cracks and a few fine scratches and wear from use. There are no deep scratches. I did not wash it so it has all the years of dirt from fingers. The face is in excellent condition. This large old switch plate or switch cover is for 3 switches. It is steel with an enameled porcelain coating that is sometimes called agate ware or graniteware. It is for the old style of push button switches used in the early to mid 20th century. It is 6 1/4 inches long by 4 7/16 inches tall. There are some small spots of light rust on the back where the black enameled coating does not completely cover the steel underneath. Overall it is in very good used condition.

Up for bid is a very old brass push button electric light wall plate and the ceramic electrical box plus the on/off push buttons. Everything you need to restore one light switch in your vintage home back to original. Heavy brass cover measures 2 3/4 by 4 1/2 inches and is 1/8 inch thick very heavy machined brass. You can not bend it. It has been polished out and looks like new again, only missing the two brass mounting screws. Push button switch in ceramic box has been tested with an electrical meter and it does work. But needs to be taken apart and all components cleaned up. Ceramic box is in very good condition with no cracks, breaks or chunks missing out of it. Both switch and and brass cover have a P with and arrow through it for manufacturer.
