You are bidding on an old Van Kannel Revolving Door Company Push Plate. Manufactured in New York. Theophilus Van Kannel was issued a patent for the revolving door in 1888. More information about him can be found This push plate came off of a revolving door at the Safe Deposit& Trust Co. Bank in Baltimore. Maryland. The brass push plate is large. Measuring about 16 3/4 inches tall x 3 3/4 inches wide. Included are 3 brass rivets to cover the 3 holes where the push rod was installed. The plate needs to be polished and has the original patina. The largest of the 2 is about 11" in length and has no design. It has a stain of sorts near one of its screw holes. It seems to be under the final finish. The other white plate is stunning! You are bidding on a wonderful sixth plate ambrotype of a pretty young lady holding the musical instrument known as a"Concertina" on her lap. I have rarely seen such a lovely woman holding one of these 1800's instruments. She has the appearance of a Music Teacher to me. Which would account for the accordion like musical devise on her knees, although, I cannot be certain. She wears very nice earrings and a ring upon her index finger. She wears a ribbon choker with a pendant and a lace collar. Light tinting has been applied to her face, lips and hands. The sixth plate has incredible sharpness, good contrast, great depth of field and unusual content. She rests inside a beautiful and rare push-button case with gold leaf embossing on the cover. A wonderful ... morelittle smile was captured upon her face when she stared into the photographers' lens. This is a wonderful matching set of original Victorian hardware by Penn Co. in the Penn-Rensdorf. German Renaissance style. Both are marked on the back with the Penn insignia and marked 15" RD575. They have their original patina: I did not try to clean them. They have a very detailed fleur de lis design at the top and bottom of each piece. The pull handle has its original screws with it. They are very heavy pieces: together weighing over 4 pounds. They are made of cast bronze as most of Penn's pulls were made of cast bronze. Nice sign showing some age with rust. Dirt scratches, and dings. Still displays nicely at just over 36inches long and 5 3/4 wide. Could be used as a door plate or just hanging. Please view the pictures as they are part of my description as well. Thank you for looking any questions please ask.

This is a nice old soda advertising sign. Measures 12" long by 4" wide. Signed on the front of the tin sign: Regal Orange St-Jean Que Tel. 379" This is a very old sign.the telephone numbers only have 3 digits. Has uage wear which can be seen in the photos.it is a nice old RARE Sign with a soda bottle on the front!

The image of this lovely creature. Is most likely from the mid-1850's. Her mat and rare push-button case also imply that her likeness may have been captured in the Boston area, although the case is not your typical Boston push-button housing. You will be amazed how much depth and holographic wonder this plate retains, once you open the cover of this solid Moroccan leather case. As you can see, the subject is stunningly beautiful, from her well groomed hair to the beautiful three-quarter view of her striking facial features.
