This rare Vintage Brass Elevator Control Panel Plate has three Push Button Controls-UP. DOWN and STOP. It measures approximately 7.75x3 inches across the Plate and weighs around 531 grams. I am unsure of the Maker but there is a faint mark which I have photographed. But those with more knowledge than myself will know at a glance who the Maker is. This metal advertising sign/door plate was probably used in the 50s. It is 9" by 3" and depicts a bottle of O-So Grape soda. There are four holes in the corners for affixing the sign to a screen door or wall. I have included close-up photos so that you can see whatever scratches and dirt marks there are. In addition. There is a tiny bit of rusting around the holes in the corners from when it was used. The back is clean. Overall, the sign is in pretty good shape and might clean up even more.

The set consists of 2 long bronze back plates, 1 bronze handle, 1"Corbin" iron mortise lock with bronze faceplate, 1 nickel plated brass, Eagle, mortise cylinder w/working key& bronze anti-theft collar, 1 nickel plated brass thumbturn cylinder w/bronze anti-theft collar, and 1 modern bronze-plated steel strike plate for the door jamb. The handle, back plates, and lock faceplate are solid, heavy, thick, cast bronze, not stamped or plated iron. The plates have squared corners and their edges are beveled. Which adds a level of depth and boldness to their classic designs. We acquired this set about 4 years ago. We spent much time cleaning and polishing them to restore them to their original splendor. We didn't post them separately on eBay in case the buyer of the door wanted to keep the set with the door. The customer wanted knobs instead, so her loss is now your opportunity! Since we cleaned the set 4 years ago, the parts have developed a very subtle patina, which only adds a degree of warmth to their natural, bronze color. The plates and handle do have scratches and nicks here and there. But considering that they were probably bumped and grabbed hundreds or even thousands of times. They are in great shape. They are free of breaks. Cracks, chips, or gouges. We opened, inspected, and greased the internal parts of the mortise lock to facilitate their movement. The lock and cylinder mortises operate smoothly. If you think that the parts look nice in the photos. Wait until you see them in person! Once you grab hold of the old-world quality, you will be able to truly appreciate the fine craftsmanship and metal purity, which is rare to find now-a-days.
