This is an Original Vintage Wood Horse& Rider Pull Toy manufactured by The Toy Tinkers. Inc. of Evanston, Illinois from the 1920's- 1930's. As it is pulled, the rider bounces up and down to simulate actual horse riding. The head and hat can be turned in any direction. This wood pull toy, officially known as the"Pony Tinker, was first introduced by The Toy Tinker company in 1924. It measures 7 1/2" by 6 1/2" by 3 1/2" On the top of the hat is the Toy Tinkers company logo and trademark. This toy is in good working order and does show wear from use over the years, mainly to the pony's head. The original leather reins are missing and the pull string has been replaced, however the pull ball is original. Charles Pajeau and Robert Pettit created the now famous"Tinkertoy" in 1914. After the success of the Tinkertoy, they went on to call themselves the Toy Tinkers of Evanston, Ill. and began creating several different wooden toys. Strombecker pull toy parts. Some have issues.look at pictures carefully
Several years I acquired rejected parts from a former Strombecker employee. All these pieces have issues. I will try to describe them but I might miss something inadvertantly. The first four pictures are definitly rejects Pictures show the flaws. The slot in the toys base is too tight to admit the figure to slide on.All the wheels are all OK. The next photo shows pull toy string. The rest show misc parts I can not identify. Some I believe are pull toy knobs. The wheels and axles in the picture I took through the celephane look new to me. In the last picture the unknown painted cylinders are partly stuck together as if they were placed next to each other while the paint was still wet. Sold as is with no returns. Ask questions if needed.

They seem a bit loose so not sure probably from use and I would say is more for a collector than for a child to play with unless you strengthen the m up a bit. The pull string was broken at one time.
