I am now offering some of those I don't ... moreneed for your consideration. This auction is for THREE(3) rectangular antique door plates, I believe from the 1920's or 30's. But I wasn't around back then so I don't know for s ure. T wo plates are plated steel- a magnet does stick to them. The third is not magnetic- appears to be plated brass. The coating is a bronze or copper color. These w ould have been used with an old. Large mortise-type lockset and skeleton key- neither is included. P late A measures 10" high x 3" wide. This is the non-magnetic. Bronze-colored one. I believe this plate would have been used on the outside of the front entry door- possib ly exposed to the weather. Plate B measures 7" high x 2 1/4" wide. It is plated steel- the plating appears to be an' antique brass' color. It is similar in design to plate A. But not an exact match. The previous owner"cleaned" these two plates with steel wool, so there are scratches evident. And some finish loss. Plate C measures 7 1/4" high x 2 3/8" wide. It has not been cleaned at all. And is mostly covered with old white paint. It is also plated steel. I believe the color may also be' antique brass' But I can't tell with the paint. It is. Again, a similar design to the other two plates, but not an exact match to either. I received plates A and B as you see them- I do NOT have any knobs or screws to go with them- sorry. The 4 screws that were holding plate C to a door are includ ed, but there were no knobs on the door. This auction is for only these T HREE door back plates. Photography is not one of my strong points. So I took two pictures to help you evaluate these escutcheons. The doll a r bill is shown only to give you an idea of scale. But you are bidding on. This is a vintage Corbin mortise entry door lock. It is a little dirty but works fine, it has two keys, brass striker plate, and inside turn knob, also included are 5 door knobs with shafts, 3 are brown wood grain the other 2 are black, they do have some surface rust on the shafts but nothing bad, the lock measures about 71/2" X 1 1/4" thank you for looking.

Really nice hard to find Russell Erwin lockset for your consideration. US and Canada Patents March and May 1900. Unusual hard to find set which includes two nicely patterned ornate backplates. Two doorknobs with patterning, mortise lock with matching faceplate as the included latch and deadbolt slide catch marked 1900 and a drive rod with a few set screws. Mortise lock latch springs feel good although should have a good cleaning and lube for optimal operation. Mortise box looks pressed and peened. not cast iron. Marked Russell Erwin mfg co. and some other stuff that is hard to read. Original finish on all the pieces is worn although it looks like a craftsman period style black with copper Jappanned appearance. Collars on backplates are good and the set screw opening are good on the knob necks for reuse. Questions encouraged and welcome otherwise ... morewhat you se is what you get. 19th c. Farmhouse Milking Stool w Mortise Wedge~3 leg Cricket Bench w Old Repair
Here we have a really great 19th century farmhouse milking or cricket stool with an old make-do dowel repair. This small round cricket stool has three leg design. I t is made of a heavy hard wood and it is most likely of Irish or other European origin. It measures just under 5 3/4" tall. 8" round, the top is over 3/4" thick and it has mortise& wedge construction. There is an old repair to the round top where two dowels were inserted to side reinforce a stress crack. When looking at the bottom there also appears to have been a brace placed over the crack to secure the broken piece during repair. Once the repaired was completed the brace was removed and the leg was secured with a little glue. The fracture on this stool is currently solid and secure however we would recommend against milking a cow while sitting on it. This ... moreold repair just adds a bit of charm to the stool and with the time aged patina this piece has a wonderful desirable look. Also on the bottom is a later nail inserted into one leg and evidence of where other nails were removed. This diminutive cricket stool has lots of evidence of wear from use and it will make a really nice addition to any collection. It weights in at 1 pound 4 ounces and it is in as-found condition from a Connecticut estate. Antique rustic primitive 19th century small wooden foot stool, mortise & tennon
Antique estate sale find. Very old(probably be 19th century) little wooden primitive farmhouse foot stool. Lots of character! Made with(I think it's called) mortise and tennon joints. Has lots of dings. Wear, some repairs, some splits- still pretty sturdy, but I would let it stay"retired" and use it as a riser/ display piece. It was made a bit off kilter, as far as the placing of the stretchers. The top is not quite level. The dark circle on the top is burned into the wood. Very nice and rustic. Check out my! Corbin Vintage Brass Cylinder Half Mortise Lock w/ Original Flat Key
A vintage Corbin brass cylinder half mortise lock for a door. Drawer or whatever your need is. The original metal slot key comes with it. The brass plate measures a little over 2 7/8 inches by 1 7/16 inces. The cylinder is 7/8 inches long by 5/8 inches wide. The lock housing and plate is 3/8 inches thick. The holes are 2 1/2 inches on center side to side and i 1/4 inches top to bottom. The key is 2 1/4 inches long. The lock and key work great. The brass could use a little polish but is in good shape and can be used as is. It is marked with the Corbin logo on the back. One-of-a-Kind 200 Year Old Antique Primitive Pyrography Bench. Heraldry Dragon Offered here is a very rare. One-of-a-Kind piece of primitive folk art. This was one of the oldest pieces my mother owned. It is well over 200 years old and in very good condition. It features mortise and tenon construction that has been reinforced at some point in time with very early screws. The design on the top is classic European in composition and depicts a heraldic lion headed dragon done in hand done pyrography and stippling with the use of an awl or pointed object. This little bench or stool measures 15" long by 8" tall by 9" wide. The wood that this is created from is either a soft wood or it has become very light with age. One side of the bar is a marking gage. The other side is a mortise gage with one of the pins adjusted by the thumbscrew on the opposite end of the bar. Excellent condition as shown in photos. This is set is much better than images make it appear. The backplates one of them is marked Yale 14 7/8 x 2 3/4 and then has a number also in center that looks like 16765. The size is 14 7/8 x 2 3/4. I am showing all the pieces with it taken apart. It has two keys that fits i and turns the deadbolt but it really needs taken apart and oiled to work right and those keys are marked Cole National and the lock that they fit in is marked Yale. The door knobs are very nice and I am showing close up views. The inside knob has a screw for adjustment. This set has the original patina and I have not cleaned it. This set is a perfect match for any gorgeous Gothic revival house! Dimensions Knob set is about 7.5" long. The knobs have a diameter just under 2.5" The knob plates are 15.5" long and 3" wide. The strike plate is 7.75" long. The mortise lock is 7" long. 0.75" thick and the plate is 9.75" long and 1.375" wide. Condition There is some discoloration on the metal.
