The set includes 2 brass knobs, 2 stamped brass escutcheons, 1 iron mortise lock with brass faceplate, 1 working key, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, and 1 spindle with 2 set screws. All brass parts are solid brass. Not plated steel. Originally, all brass parts were copper plated, however, the majority of the copper wore off over the years. At the point of salvage all parts were covered under many coats of paint. And were dirty and tarnished(see last photo) Since then, we've removed the paint, and cleaned and polished all parts to the best of our ability. The set is in great. Working condition, but the parts do have cosmetic blemishes. Both knobs have dents along their sides, and one knob has some dents on the bottom of its base, the exterior escutcheon has a few subtle dents around and below its keyhole, the interior escutcheon has dents and scratches around its keyhole and a 3/8" crack in its lower, lefthand corner, which is hard to spot unless you look for it, and the lock faceplate and strike plate have nicks and scratches(see photos) None of the aforementioned blemishes are structural threats, and are more like, character marks, that enhance the aged look of the set. About the lock: The lock is reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. The buttons on the lock faceplate control a function. Which disables/enables the exterior knob. Once the bottom button is depressed, the exterior knob cannot be turned and the triangular-shaped"passage latch" on the lock will remain extended, in the locked position. In essence, the"passage latch" acts as a secondary deadbolt and provides an extra level of security from anyone on the outside of the door. Once the exterior knob is disabled, and the door is shut, the only way to retract the upper latch is by using the key or by turning the

I have a nice reusable pair of old cast iron rim locks with catches for your consideration. There is a left and a right and neither of them have the deadbolt key. Standard 1/4 inch drive operates latch and the secondary latch lock lever engages and disengages latch lock for privacy while in room. Will need a cleaning and lube for optimal use. Unusual Primative Vintage Latch Lockset? for thick door, spring loaded, cabin
Here is what I believe to be an Early Vintage Locking Latch Door Set. I could use some help of someone recognizes it. And could send me more information. It is spring loaded, and I have a picture of it in its down position. It has a great patina, and measures appox 14 1/2 by 6 1/8 inches. I have a feeling the part on the back that sticks out, was for a key to that it could be unlocked from the outside. The key would have had a hole running on the inside, and looks like when turned could have forced the spring loaded piece to go down. From the lenght of the piece that sticks out, it appears to have been made for a very thick door? Maybe for a log cabin? Maybe for a barn? S/H in USA lower 48 is $12.00. Thanks

Store display. The dummy key cylinder is marked Sargent, the pull would have to be removed from the display board the check for a makers mark. The thumb push is spring loaded but may lack a long enough extension to reach a lock body. The finish is a dirty aged brown with a copper color underneath. The pull would have to be removed from the board to determine what the base metal is. The center to center distance is 8" on the pull screws. About the lock: The lock is reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. The buttons on the lock faceplate control a function. Which disables/enables the exterior knob from turning. Once the bottom button is depressed, the exterior knob will not turn, and the upper latch will remain extended, in the locked position. In essence, the upper latch acts as a deadbolt and provides an extra level of security from anyone on the outside of the door. Once the exterior knob is frozen, and the door is shut, the only way to retract the upper latch is by using the key for the top keyhole, or by turning the interior knob. This is a very convenient feature for the person inside of the house/room. No more locking and unlocking to let someone in. Simply turn the knob, open the door, let someone in, close the door and it's already locked. To disable the auto-lock feature, simply push the top button. We opened and inspected the lock. Antique, pull entry set removed from an old door that we salvaged from an apartment building in Northeastern Pennsylvania(see last photo) The set consists of 2 stamped bronze back plates, 2 cast bronze handles and thumb latches, 1 iron mortise lock with bronze faceplate, 1 bronze strike plate for the door jamb, and 4 securing nuts an washers. All bronze parts are solid bronze, not plated iron. The mortise lock is fully reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. There are no cylinder mortises included because we do not have any that are keyed alike. However. You could pick them up at any hardware store or locksmith. We found the parts with a gorgeous patina. Which did not want to disturb. Notice the heavy verdigris on ... moreone of the pulls-truly amazing! However, if you like you hardware bright and shiny, we could clean and polish the set for an additional charge of $40- email us after the auction. Someone drilled an additional hole to insert a screw. In between the upper and lower screw holes. The back plates of the pulls have a small tiny dents and dings that are tough to spot unless you examine them closely. We had an extremely difficult time removing the lock from the door, and accidentally broke the cover plate of the lock body in the process. Fortunately, it was a clean break and we were able to re-secure the 2 broken parts using an industrial strength epoxy. There is a visible scar, but once installed in a door, the scar and lock body would be hidden. Otherwise, all parts are in great shape with no breaks, cracks, chips, or gouges. Penn Antique Restoration. Antique"Russwin" Arts& Crafts Entry Door Set w/Knobs. Plates, Lock, Key. Elegant. Original, antique, exterior door lockset salvaged from Northern Ohio. The set includes 2 bronze knobs, 2 stamped bronze escutcheons, 1 iron mortise lock with bronze faceplate, 1 working key, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, and 1 spindle with 2 set screws. Originally, all bronze parts were copper plated, and surprisingly, much of the plating has remained! Only the knobs have lost most of their plating. At the point of salvage all parts were dirty and unevenly tarnished(see last photo) Since then. We've cleaned and polished all parts to the best of our ability. You could tell that the hardware came from a well-maintained home because the set is in very good condition. The knobs and escutcheons are free of breaks. ... moreCracks, gouges, dents, or deep scratches and have little signs of wear. Their details are incredibly sharp! About the lock: The lock is reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. Someone removed the buttons that were originally above the upper latch. The buttons controlled a function. Which disabled/enabled the knobs to turn. With the knobs unable to turn, the upper latch remains extended, in the locked position. In essence, both latches would act as deadbolts and provide extra security. Once the knobs are frozen, and the door is shut, the only way to retract the upper latch is by using the key for the top keyhole. I'm certain that whoever removed the buttons, didn't have the key for the top keyhole and he/she had to force the door open in order to push the button, to enable the knobs to turn. If this were my set, I would remove the buttons as well, and this is not only because I'm a parent of a young child who couldn't help himself from playing with the buttons; but accidents do happen. I may bump into the button on way on my way out, and by the time I get home, I have to break into my house because I don't have the upper skeleton key! We op

The door knobs have a brown swirly look& I think they are ceramic. They are about 5 1/2 inches long when together. One screw is missing on one end. Unmarked. The lock set ornate brass. I don't get how it works exactly. It is about 4 inches long x 3 1/4 inches across x 5/8 inches wide. Both sides are ornate. But its so thin? This door knob hardware sets was produced by Kwikset and it now out of production and thus rare to find and is their discontinued Grecian Design and includes everything including the door bolt and both handles and screws with instructions and guide. This set has been used and so thus shows some signs of use and wear and cosmetic damage but most of it is along the knob itself so it might be somewhat hidden when viewed head on once installed on a door. I have a nice early cast iron rim lock with catch for your consideration. Lock box manufactured by Russell Erwin in the late 1800's. Standard 1/4 inch drive operates latch and the secondary latch lock lever engages and disengages latch lock nicely for privacy while in room. There is no key for the deadbolt slide lock. You will have to either find one or have one made to lock the room while away. Included are a pair of black glazed red clay doorknobs with iron necks. Cast iron ornate keyhole cover, cast iron rosette, and a standard 1/4 driverod. Will need a cleaning and lube for optimal use. Springs feel good for reuse. Upon inspection internal parts all look intact. Box measures 4 3/8 x 3 1/8 inches. Questions welcome other wise what you see is what you get. Flat ship to the US is 5.88. Thanks for looking.

Antique Letter Opener "Yale & Towne MFG Co." 2 Sided-Padlock-Lockset-Door Closer
The Yale& Towne Company is an American tradition having provided locks and door hardware since the mid 19th century. This is a beauty of a letter opener. With a pewter head that looks like a fine piece of flatware. The 2 sides are different as you can see. At the top is the padlock with one side showing a Y&T in a 3 leaf clover, and the reverse side showing the YALE name. Below it is the keyed lockset, and below that is an automatic door closer. You can see how old this item is by looking at the closer. This is most likely dates from the 20's. It's not a flimsy piece. Weighing almost 2 1/2 ounces. It's just over 7 inches in length.

Each set consists of 2 iron knobs, 2 stamped iron escutcheons, 1 iron mortise lock with working key, 1 steel strike plate for the door jamb, and 1 3-section spindle with 1 setscrew and 1 securing pin. The knobs are unusually heavy, which is a sign of high quality construction. One of the knobs and one of the escutcheons are copper-plated. Solid brass. These are the reddish-pink colored pieces shown in the"Group Photos. One of the locks also has a solid brass faceplate. ... moreIt's the lock with both brass(yellow) colored upper and lower latches in the"Group Photos. Aside from the 3 solid brass parts. All of the knobs, escutcheons, lock faceplates, and strike plates were brass plated when they were manufactured. Although, most of the brass wore off of the knobs over the years, the rest of the parts retained the majority of their original plating. The amount of plating varies from part to part(see"Group Photos" to compare) All of the locks are reversible and could accommodate either a left or right swing door. The knobs have a simple round form. With a lovely concentric design. The escutcheons have beautiful stepped edges. At the point of salvage. All parts were either painted, dirty, and/or rusty. Since then, we spent hours carefully removing the paint, dirt, and build up, without wearing away the brass plating. The right corner(next to the keyhole) of one of lock body covers is broken. Baldwin Chrome Blakely Double Door Entry Lockset Handleset
This is a set a few years old. Taken off our house in southern California, essentially no water contact or corosion at all. Chrome is nearly perfect condition other that light scratches from regular use. Please note that this set is for a set of double doors, and the handles are fully reversible, left or right. There is one locking deadbolt cylinder and one blank cylinder piece, both of which are also reversible. The only thing missing from the set is the strike plate for the fixed door panel. I put a bronze colored one in the picture so that you would know what I am talking about. I did not have one because the double door set usually has a piece that covers the entire edge of the door and locks the top and bottom of the door and is called an astragal. I have one key for the deadbolt, which will be included. This set is ready to be installed ... morethe day you recieve it. Instructions can easily be downloaded on line if you look up Blakely model.

Vintage Complete Brass Lockset Never Installed !
It's all here! Right Down to the Key! I have seen sets on this site and others starting at $125.00 but they were used- didn't have the key- no screws and in a lot worse shape then this set. It does have some corrosion on it so you'll need to break out the brasso and scrub a little. I'm starting this low to get it going. Penn Antique Restoration. Vintage Brass"Lockwood" Art Deco Entry Door Set w/Knob. Pull, Lock& Key Elegant. Vintage, exterior, lockset made by"Lockwood" of Lockwood, CT sometime around the middle of the previous century. The set consists of 1 brass pull with a thumb latch, 1 brass knob with a 2-piece steel spindle(connecting rod) 1 stamped brass-plated steel rosette, 1 stamped brass thumbturn. 1 brass mortise cylinder plate, 1 steel mortise lock with brass faceplate, 1 brass cylinder mortise w/working key, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, and 2 brass washers. Several steel washers, 2 steel securing nuts, and 2 brass bolts to fasten the pull to the door The set was salvaged from Northwestern North Carolina. We found the parts with a nice. Warm patina, which we decided to leave undisturbed. All parts are in excellent condition with only the typical nicks and light scratches that you would expect to find on old hardware. But no breaks, cracks, chips, dents, or deep scratches. About the lock: The lock is reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. The mortise lock is locked by pushing the top button on the faceplate. And unlocked by either pushing the bottom button or using a key. Once locked, the door could only be opened by turning the knob on the interior side of the door, or by using the key on the exterior side of the door. This is a very convenient feature for the person inside of the room. No more locking and unlocking to let someone in. Simply turn the knob, open the door, let someone in, close the door and it's already locked. To disable the auto-lock feature, simply push the bottom button. The lock was opened. Beautiful, antique, interior door locksets made by, Yale" of Stamford CT sometime during the first half of the previous century. Each set consists of 2 brass knobs, 2 stamped brass escutcheons, 1 iron mortise lock with brass faceplate and 1 working key, and 1 steel spindle with 1 setscrew and 1 securing pin to connect the knobs, and all 6 of the original, brass screws to fasten the parts to the door. All brass parts are solid. Brass, not plated steel. Originally, all brass parts ... morewere nickel plated, and surprisingly, most of the plating remains! Either the plating is very thick, or these sets were hardly used, because after almost a century of use, the plating should've at least wore off of the knobs. The amount of plating varies from part to part(see"Group photos" Yale" made locks that had bigger spaces between their upper passage latches and lower deadbolt latches than other manufacturers. We have a few strike plates(keeper or receiver plates) that match up just right with the locks. But we would have to modify a few more to ensure that each lock has a matching strike plate. Here is an old lockset that was removed from a home that was built in the 1920's. The latch is marked'Russwin' And all of the knobs/roses/escutcheons are cast brass. The brass shows some scuffs and scratches from years of use, as well as a nice worn patina; check all photos for condition. The lock face is slightly distorted from the previous installation. But the latch operates properly(see pics) There are no keys included. The strike has been cut at some point to remove the bridge between the latch and deadbolt(see pics) Most of the original mounting screws are included.
