Several steel washers, 2 steel securing nuts, and 2 brass bolts to fasten the pull to the door The set was salvaged from Northwestern North Carolina. We found the parts with a nice. Warm patina, which we decided to leave undisturbed. If you prefer your hardware bright and shiny, we could clean and polish the set prior to shipping for an additional charge of $30- email us after the auction if you are interested. All parts are in excellent condition with only the typical nicks and light scratches that you would expect to find on old hardware. But no breaks, cracks, chips, dents, or deep scratches. I have a rarer"AMERICA" pattern. Hard to find, heavy iron mortise lock made by the Norwalk Lock Co. Mid to late 1800's, for your consideration. Heavy iron box construction with chunky brass latch and deadbolt slides. Heavy brass drive gear and brass doorknob collar as well. Backplate is cast iron. Pattern marked" AMERICA" 8937. Drive gear engages and disengages latch slide smoothly. I do not have the original key so you will not be able to lock the room while away until you either find a key that works or have one made. Face plate of box is a heavy cast brass manufacture and the strike plate is a heavy brass stamped design. Doorknob is iron with a brass collar. Thumb handle and theaded 1/4 inch standard drive is iron. The rosette is a pressed steel. Lock box mortise cut is 3 3/8" deep x 3 1/4" high x 11/16" ... morewide. The Brass face plate is 1" x 5 3/8" x 3/16" wide. The offset including the thickness of the brass face plate is 2 9/16" To inside edge of face plate is 2 3/8" Really a nice early quality lock for your authentic shop home or garden repair or renovation. By turning brass knob counter clockwise it will disengage the brass slide from catch. The slide stays open until you start the turn in a clockwise direction and then engages by itself. A nice feature if you do not want to use the lock all the time perhaps when guests are coming and going. lock box measures 3 5/8 x 2 1/2 inches with out catch. Penn Antique Restoration. ~ 8 available ~ Antique"Ceylon" Eastlake Door Set w/Knobs. Plates, Lock, Key. Although there are 8 sets available. The list price is for 1 set only. If the quantity above falls below 8, then this indicates that 1 or more sets sold. What a rare opportunity! Exquisite. Antique, interior door locksets made by, P.F. Corbin Mfg. Co. of New Britain, CT circa 1895. Each set consists of 2 bronze knobs, 2 bronze escutcheons, 1 mortise lock with 1 working key, 1 strike plate, and 1 steel spindle with 2 setscrews to connect the knobs. All bronze parts are solid bronze, not plated steel. 4 of the sets have locks with bronze faceplates. And 4 have steel faceplates. 2 of the sets have bronze strike plates and 6 have steel strike plates. See"Group photos" for a visual. The locks are reversible and could accommodate ... morethe swing of any door. The parts have a wonderful. Aesthetic(Eastlake) style design called, Ceylon" At the point of salvage. Some parts were painted, and all parts were dirty and unevenly tarnished(see photos under"Prior to restoration" Since then, we've spent hours removing the paint, and cleaning and polishing the parts to the best of our ability. The knobs and plates have tiny nicks and light scratches. Which are typical for 120-year old hardware. Otherwise. All parts are in great condition with no breaks, cracks, chips, or heavy scratches. The spindle is stuck in one of the knobs. This isn't a flaw. Because that's where the spindle belongs, but we just wanted to make you aware of it. Two of the locks have a broken or missing portion of their bodies. However. The broken or missing portions have no bearing on the lock's functionality, and will be concealed once the locks are installed. All locks were opened. Inspected, and greased to function more smoothly. We also made a key to operate each lock, and could make more for a charge of $8/key-email us after the auction if you are interested.
