The metal possibly German Silver weighs 1.2 ounce, I am uncertain of the metallurgy of the piece as it has never been tested. The trap door opens flawlessly, and there is one hand milled screw holding a steel tap of metal, this is free to move left or right. RCA Radiola 17 escutcheon set including the knobs and mounting screws. Comes with two nail-in style lamp hoods with the vintage RCA logo. These are not original to the set and have not been installed. They may be direct fits for other RCA models. Just not the 17 or 18. One of the hoods is still in packaging, probably from a re-seller at a swap meet. The brass plates all have a good patina with no corrosion or pitting. The stampings are still deep and highly visible. No rounded corners or smoothed over designs. It has an early escutcheon with all the hand chiseled area's for a lock and catch(lock and catch are not present) The box has an all tiger maple till on the interior. The base in the box itself is chamfered and made of one board poplar. Glue blocks on the underside are poplar as well. I used the best possible tiger maple I could find for making the entire box. This box is made exactly as an antique full sized blanket box would have been in every detail. It is aged properly inside and out. This box also has an antique-smooth finish. There is only one keeper(see pics) these are same matching iron primitive window sash locks, from the 19th century that have the appropriate and original mechanisms in back underside to turn locks and tighten securely(see pic of back underside of locks provided) they have a primitive rose-head shape screw/rivet at center of backplate on underside(see pics) these wee taken from a house in New England which was built in the early 1800s and these pieces date to the later part of the 1800s or perhaps earlier, they both appear to be in working condition and fully functional, the windowsash locks and ... morethe(1) matching keeper are in very good period condition with some surface wear, are cast in iron, are all original with no repairs, have some white paint on the bottom half of one of them, turn easily and freely, no cracks-chips-dents-or deep scratches or corrosion, not bent or warped, may have a little very light surface rust only. Each sash lock measures approx. 2.75" long x 1.25" wide x 1" tall, they each have two mounting holes at either end. The keeper is in same condition as described and measures approx. 2.5" long x 1 1/8" tall, has two mounting holes at either end, all three pieces are clean& unsoiled. Orthophonic Victor Radiola VV 9-15 Victrola phonograph Switch Escutcheon Plate
For sale is this Victrola Orthophonic Escutcheon Plate for the VV 9-15 It housed the switch that turned the 9-15 from Victrola to Radio/ NAME PLATE AND TONEARM AND the Reproducer are being sold separately! The 9-15 was a premium a radio/phonograph combination that required much less space than the gigantic Borgia I series. But still included many of the same features. The 9-15 was introduced during the fall of 1926, and used an RCA Radiola 28 AM receiver along with a Victor Orthophonic phonograph. The radio used an electromagnetic driver, which was coupled to the horn throat via a mechanical valve. The user simply slid the mechanical control to select either radio or phonograph reproduction. All 9-15's featured a blended walnut veneer finish. The radio was battery powered, requiring 10 batteries to function! 19th CENTURY WALLPAPER ENGRAVED BRASS WITH APPLIED ESCUTCHEON.
Here is a 19th century metal button with an engraved wallpaper design. It has an applied brass escutcheon and original color finish. Size medium: 1 1/8" in diameter. The shank goes into the escutcheon. The color finish flooded the back when it was applied. Antique Victorian Slipper Stool Wood Needlepoint Square Brass Escutcheon Tacks
I have for auction a Lovely Victorian Slipper Stool. The stool is wood. Possibly walnut and is covered with a green& cream needlepoint floral design. It is attached with attractive, square, brass escutcheon tacks. The handles of the stool are spindles. One of the spindles has damage on the center in the form of chipping, see photo 9. The stool is 18" long, 8 inches wide and is just shy of 10 inches tall. There is normal vintage wear and the needlepoint is in good condition with some light soiling and spots. For sale is the back part of a Northwinds Face a drawer pull. Unfortunately the pull part had been lost at some point before I obtained it. Poured brass and numbered on the underside 2096. A total of 3 7/8" long. 3" from center to center of the holes where the pull rings are located. 1 1/2" from top to bottom of the face. 1.89 oz One of the pulls is still soldered in place.
