Penn Antique Restoration. Antique Greek Revival Iron Entry Door Set Pull Handle Lock. What a rare find! This grand. Exterior door lockset was made by"P.F. Corbin Mfg. Co. of New Britain, CT around the turn of the previous century. It consists of 2 iron pulls(2 large back plates, 2 thumb latches, 2 handles) 1 iron mortise lock, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, and 2 nuts, 2 washers, and 2 bolts to secure the pulls. All parts are solid, heavy, and thick cast iron, not stamped or pressed wrought iron. Originally, the pulls were copper plated, however, most of the plating wore off of one of the pulls and some of the plating wore off of the other, leaving the parts with a nice distressed look. Many times. Sets like this are used only to keep a door closed and to look pretty, so we didn't make a key for the lock. However, if you ... morealso need the set for security, we should be able to make a key. The first key would cost $10- $20, and each additional key would cost $10-email us after the auction if you are interested. Each pull has a lovely. Neo-Grec style, egg and dart border. The set was salvaged from Southwestern Minnesota. At the point of salvage. All parts were dirty and rusty(see last photo) Since then, we've carefully cleaned all parts to the best of our ability, trying to preserve as much of the plating as possible. The beauty of the pulls is only matched by their superb condition! Aside from the typical small nicks& light scratches here and there. Which are common for 100+ year old hardware; all parts a free of breaks, cracks, chips, dents, or deep scratches. Someone widened the keyhole on the pull with less plating. It's not a flaw. Which affects the structural integrity or function of the pull, just more of a permanent, visual quirk, like someone carving their name on a desk top. How many big and small hands and years do you think it took to wear away the brass finish? The handle is a little larger than most you’ll come ... moreacross and was probably used on a large Victorian homes front window or possibly in a school or in an industrial type building. The grasp has a 3” grip opening or what I would call an average size hand 4 finger pull. This would have had a brass finish but that is all but totally worn off. This now has a smooth darken appearance with some light smooth surface rust. If you lightly wipe this down and give it a clear coat it will retain its patina for many more years to come. This would work great on large windows or screen doors or on heavy drawers. This is well made and heavy and nothing like the cheaply made imports of today. The measurements are taken at the attachment base: 4 5/8” long x 1 3/8” wide with the center to center of the screw holes being 4” x ¾” Free first class shipping in a padded envelope. Lovely Antique Servant or Country Store Entry Door Bell. Spring Up for your consideration is this absolutely wonderful antique servants or country store entry door bell with a coiled main spring which winds in the back and shoots straight up. Another longer spring is attached to the top, and two other pieces which are not connected; one is an iron spike and the other is metal or iron crank pull which may have been attached to the spike at one time. The spring coil, metal back piece, and the longer spring are all covered in an old greyish paint which is chipping. Vintage Victorian or Eastlake Pull Type Door Bell - 1870's
A nice vintage door bell from the Victorian or Eastlake period. Bell has patent dates on it from the years 1870. 1872 and 1873. Piece measures about 3 3/4" across, 4 3/4 from end to end of mounting tabs and about2 1/2" tall. Bell seems to be brass on a cast base. Mechanism can be triggered by either a straight downward pull or a pull straight thru the back of the unit. Mechanism works fine and bell sounds nice.

Antique Victorian Brass & Cast Iron Door Bell Double Pull Trigger 1870's NOS
From an estate dispersal and at ebay for your consideration is this nice victorian double pull option door bell. It can be pulled down or directly thru the door to fire the hammer against the bell. It gives a single loud ring each time it is pulled and you have to release the pull to reset the trigger. This bell displays Patented dates of early 1970's and was never installed so there are no signs of wear. Excellent condition. No chips cracks or repairs, just some age spots.
