Stunning Old Vintage Fancy Wrought Iron& Brass 8 Bell Pull Chain Door Bell I had an opportunity to go down state Illinois recently for the homecoming of my Alma Mater and shopped the wonderful sales. Barn sales and antique shops along the way. I have a huge variety of oldees for you this week- from 19th century primitives to 1950s kitsch- there’s something for everyone! I have to tell you- I sooooo don't think that my photos do this one justice- it was a real OMG shopping moment for me! What I have is an older vintage. Wrought iron and brass bell door bell. It mounts on the wall via the 4 screw holes(2 up, 2 down) and has a pull chain operation at the front. You can see that the iron has been pounded and wrought into a flower and leaf design at the front, with an arm that reaches out from the center onto which a chain is attached. ... moreThe chain is black steel that is looped at one end to form a handle and, while it works great to rotate the wheel of bells in the center, I do not think that the chain is original, I do think that it is a replacement- the patina is newer than the rest of the piece. The chime in the center is a round wheel onto which are pinned 8 brass bells vary in size slightly in order to give variation to the ring- but all are around 2" long by 1-2" diameter at the mouth. All are in excellent condition with their clappers intact. In order to operate, you have to take the chain in your hand and rotate it, thus rotating the wheel of bells. It has very much of a jingle bell sound to it when it's rotated. It measures 13 1/4" tall, 8 1/4" widest at the bell wheel, and will stand 8 1/2" deep from the wall when mounted(wall to the very tip of the rotating arm) It weighs a little over 4 lbs and is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. There's light surface rust that can be seen in some spots on the iron- mostly at the screw mount holes. I've only seen/sold one other of this type of door bell before, and it wasn't nearly as fancy- this one is very unique. Yo

Vintage small demon door knocker or drawer pull
I cannot tell if it is a demon or a smiling cat or both. But I went with a demon. This is a solid brass door knocker which could be used as a drawer pull in a pinch. He's only 3" tall and 1.25" wide and seems to be holding onto a bow which, I guess, makes him less scary looking. There's a small bit of paint on the back edge that suggests someone used him at one point. There are three holes to firmly attach him to something. Lovely Antique Servant or Country Store Entry Door Bell. Spring Up for your consideration is this absolutely wonderful antique servants or country store entry door bell with a coiled main spring which winds in the back and shoots straight up. Another longer spring is attached to the top, and two other pieces which are not connected; one is an iron spike and the other is metal or iron crank pull which may have been attached to the spike at one time. The spring coil, metal back piece, and the longer spring are all covered in an old greyish paint which is chipping. The bell is not magnetic, has some age so I am not certain of its original color, original clapper which has a rusty look, still working and has a nice sound.
