I have others similar to these listed in other sizes and the finish or patina on the others is slightly different. If you’re a buyer who not only wants an antique handle but also one that looks old then this just might fit the bill. The handles are a little larger than most you’ll come across and were probably used on a large Victorian homes large front window. The grasp has a 3 ¼” grip ... moreopening or what I would call an average size hand 4 finger pull. These would have had a brass finish but only a speck or 2 of that is remaining along with a speck of old paint at places. They also have a spotted smooth darken appearance with light smooth surface rust. If you lightly wipe these down and give them a clear coat these will retain their patina for many more years to come. These would work great on large windows or screen doors or on heavy drawers. These are well made and nothing like the cheaply made imports of today. The measurements were taken at the attachment base: 4 7/8” long x 1 1/8” wide with the center to center of the screw holes being 4 ¼” x 5/8” Free first class shipping in a padded envelope. This is a Very Heavy Antique Eastlake Brass Drawer or Cabinet Door Pull. This beautiful. Heavy pull weighs 11 ounces, nearly 3/4 pound. The backplate has classic Eastlake designs as seen. The supports for the handle are solidly riveted to the backplate. The back plate measures about 6" x 1 5/8" x 1/8" thick. The fluted portion of the brass handle is about 3/4" in diameter. There are four mounting holes in the backplate are in a rectangular pattern on 3 1/16" and 13/16" centers. The backplate has a very slightly curved edge profile as seen in an edge-on profile. This is completely uniform and the plate is so heavy it could not be bent. So it seems to me that this piece may have been specially cast for a drawer or cabinet door with a very slightly curved profile. This curvature is subtle enough that I would not ... moreexpect this to be a problem for mounting on a completely flat drawe. At the time of the original listing. HUGE KBC Drawer Door Pull Handle and Plate Antique Brass Gothic
Large door or drawer pull or handle from KBC. It is some sort of metal. I'm unsure which kind, it sorta looks like pot metal to me but it is pretty heavy and has an antique brass finish. There is some green"patina" tarnish on the backside so unsure if that helps you figure out what kind of metal it is. The"plate" that goes behind the pull is 12" x 6 3/4" The pull itself is 9.5" and the holes are 6" apart. Seems very gothic to me. Comes with its original two old screws. Has some tarnish but I think overall it just goes with the antique finish! The plate is marked N6618, the handle N6244 66 PCS KBC. This auction is for a vintage painted tin[ WE RECOMMEND- HECHT'S BREAD- it's FRESH] door push-pull bar( or shelf advertising sign. It is solid tin and measures 23" x 2 1/4" The end mounting brackets are about 4" x 1 1/2" It is in fine condition. There is some edge rusting. Some light paint fading can be seen on the words: IT'S FRESH. Also note: one mounting foot is missing. More surface rust and paint flaking can be seen on the rear of the bar.
