Offering Three Pairs(Six Hinges) Antique Eastlake Style Bronze Door Hinges. Marked year 1777 on backside. These are Revolutionary War Era Door Hinges. An individual hinge measures 4 1/2 inches across and 4 1/2 inches tall. Center pole measures 5 7/8 inches long. A single panel on one side of a hinge measures 4 1/2 inches tall by 2 inches wide. Each individual panel on either side of center pole has 4 screw holes, spaced approximately 1 1/4 inches apart. Please notice that there is a chip on one corner of one of the hinges. Both hinges are heavily encrusted with point and soiling and some gunk on the backs. The old paint is so thick it is hard to see the design though you can tell it has one! Hi, You are bidding on an outstanding and rare painted door from Marsh Creek Pa. The door is from the 1800's and was mounted with very large iron hinges. The hinges are painted and look awesome with the old paint chipping off. The door has the original hardware on both sides. The door is mortis and tenon joints. The original paint of yellow and green is beautiful. The painted side was the inside if the door and the other side was open to the elements as you can see it is extremely weathered. Door is 36" wide by 71" tall. The door is not square and cannot be used as a door. Should only be used for decoration purposes only, but what a beauty. The door has some cracks but is solid.
