The knobs are approximately 2 1/4” in diameter; appear to be hollow but are thick walled and weigh approximately 7 oz each. The thick plates are approximately 7 1/8” long and approximately 2 ¼” wide; also weigh approximately 7 oz each and have numbers that appear to be 1460 14 on the backs of each(could be 1466 14) There are some scratches, some bends, some paint and some tarnish thru out. Overall they are in good solid condition with no breaks or cracks. I’ll leave the restoration and cleaning to the professionals. Nice vintage lot of copper and brass door hardware. included is a NICE old(dated 1891) ornate small copper doorknob with 2 back plates and a working lock. marked SARGENT& CO and dated July 1891. also included a heavy set of probably brass simple doorknobs and 8 small metal(non matching- a few match and have screws and others are non matching) 4 of these are probably reproductions. sizes of 1891 set is 3 3/4" end to end and 2 1/4" plate and 3 3/4" plate with(2) 1 1/2" knobs/ The 8 small drawer pull knobs measure 1" and 1 3/4" the heavy brass knobs(2) measure 5 1/2" end to end and are 2 1/2" in diameter. a little rough but none of these have been polished. original patina. These items are in excellent condition. The knob with the attached face plate. I cannot get it off, has a lever but it is not attached. I have taken a close up to show the opening on the lever in order to attach it. A magnet does not stick to the knobs or levers. The toilet chain came from the same house but I could not get the toilet. The knobs measure 2 ½” and 1 ¼” across. The chain is 23” long and was for the water that was stored over the toilet Please read my item’s description and compare it to the item’s picture. Vintage metal door knobs and copper backplates escutcheon key hole patina
Up for bid is this vintage metal door knob and matching lock covers. These were found together. But no lock or mechanism. I did not attempt to clean or polish them. It took years to get this patina and I want the new owner to decide how they would like them to look. There are scratches on the plate covers and they are indented a bit where someone tightened the screws. The doorknobs have paint on them. It looks like there is an extra set of holes for a narrower door. Currently, there is a about 2.5 inches of metal bar showing between the knobs. Plates are apx 7 1/8 inch tall x 2 3/8 inch wide. 6 Vtg Satin COPPER Plate Cabinet Door Drawer KNOBS Pull Concave Mid Century Dish
Lot of 6 Vintage Mid-Century Drawer Knob Pulls with Copper Finish of Brass. Round tulip shape, with concave“dish” tops. They are not“perfect” but are true mid-century modern items from the 1950s to 60s. The finish is“satin” but has some wear. Marks and grime from use and age. I didn't attempt to clean them, will leave that up to the new owner. These knobs are heavy and solid, great for your vintage furniture or to repurpose and use for other cool projects. They each measure approx. 1 ¼” deep and 1 ¼” diameter at the widest round part and tapers up to 7/8” dia. at the top dished circle. Seven antique assorted composition doorknobs of the late 1800's and very early 1900's. Two are copper one is glass and four are porcelain. They are all in good condition although the one copper knob is missing a part that goes on the back for a shaft to slide on to. All the other knobs are in fine condition considering they are all 100 years old or more. Just think about all the hands that have grabbed these knobs. Incredible. If only they could talk right.

14 Antique Japanned Copper Wash Victorian Door Knobs 14 Matching Backplates Listed are 14 antique solid wood Victorian door knobs and 14 matching pressed japanned copper wash finish steel back plates. I removed these from a house in Upstate New York. The shanks are attached firmly. All the set screws are intact, there is some maroon paint attached and the knobs and back plates will need to be cleaned. The diameter of the door knobs is 2 1/4" approx. 1" thick. Back plates are approx. 1 5/8" wide and 5 1/2" long. Condition of all the knobs and back plates is good to very good. Antique Copper-Clad Door Knobs w/Spindle
These are definitely unusual and distinctive. They came out of an 1890's Maine cottage that was destroyed by fire. And appear to have been smoke damaged. Each measures a standard 2 1/4" wide and 2" deep. They look like they would clean up and be able to be re-purposed nicely in a renovation or restoration project.
