Up for auction I have a 5 mismatched Antique Victorian cast iron door hinges. These have been cleaned and lubricated. The pins are fully removable and function perfectly( last photo shows them disassembled)The three largest ones are marked 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" One of the smaller ones is a 3 1/2" x 3" size and the last is 3" x 2 1/2" I would date these to the 1870's or 1880's. Up for auction I have a matching set of four 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Antique Victorian cast iron door hinges. These have been cleaned and lubricated. These came from a very old house and would be great for collecting or restorations. I have cleaned these up on the outside as best I can as they were covered with paint and rust. So some paint and rust spots may remain. One measures 3” high and the other is 2 ¾” high. One is quite pitted but does have an S on It for Stover Mfg. Co, Freeport Ill. The other one is not marked. as you can see by the picture i could not get down into the spring area to get the rust that is there. This is a pair of vintage cast iron hinges.Pivots,or swivel recently acquired at an estate sale.They are in wonderfully rusty vintage condition but they function smoothly.I don't know the manufacturer but the fronts are marked with an M3 mark on the pivot plate and M4 on each of the arms.There is an X stamped on the back of each arm below the rivets.They are 12 1/2" long when fully extended and 1 3/4" wide at the widest point.The arms have interlocking cogs,like a gear,and swivel on the rivets centered in the cogs.These unique pieces could be good for use in a rustic decor,steampunk project,or addition to a collection.Thank you for looking.
