They are numbered on the bottom A9618DC. They have never been used and are in good condition however would need some cleaning/polishing(mostly on the bottom of the knob) from being stored so long. Beautiful ornate solid brass or bronze door pull + plate matching set from the historic. Victorian era grand"Badger Hotel" in Merrill, Wisconsin. This hotel burned down in the 1960's and this set is from the salvage company that had gained the rights to the hotel then. Please see pictures. The back plates measure 22 inches by 2 inches and are 1/4 of an inch thick. The handles are almost 20 inches long, have a 2 inch diameter and stand 3 3/4 inches out from the plates. Each set weighs 7 pounds, for a total weight of 14 pounds. Would be perfect for a victorian home restoration. In great original condition with wonderful patina. Pair Antique Colonial Solid Brass Pocket Sliding Door Finger Pulls Plates Handle
Penn Antique Restoration. Pair Antique Colonial Brass Pocket Door Pulls. Antique. Colonial style, pocket door pulls made around the turn of the previous century. They are made of solid, stamped/pressed brass, not plated iron/steel. At the point of salvage. The pulls were found dirty, lacquered, and heavily tarnished. Since then, we've cleaned them leaving some of the tarnish behind to preserve their aged look. The pull on the left side in the first photo has some deep scratches on the right side. Just outside of the recessed(cup) area. There is also a tiny dent that you could spot along the right edge, about 1" below the scratched area. The keyhole area of the same pull also has a few small dings around it-the previous owner obviously didn't have good aim with a key, or didn't see too well. However, these are not terribly ... moreobvious flaws, and you'll be more impressed by the cool, overall look of the pull than to notice such subtle imperfections. Plus, character marks are part in parcel of buying antique items! Otherwise, both pulls are in good shape with no breaks, cracks, chips, or big dents. All are in lovely shape unless you wish to further polish, some patina here and there, they are presented as found. Subtle convex shell pattern centers are a marbled/slag appearance and a little deeper amber, less orange. The gallery photo is quite close to actual and they have a little gloss to them but they are not garish. Somewhat opaque, I find no splits, cracks or chips, all are solid to brass. They are approx. 5 3/8" wide, approx. 3" top to bottom and will hold two screws each, there were none with them when I got them. I took category offered, they are older but without a reference, I have no clue how old. To me, just lovely, all 5 in like condition IMO and may possibly be needed by those who have others like them. The centers are ... morea hard plastic, I thought maybe celluloid, they are not bakelite. I have capped priority shipping at $7.50, I will take care of anything beyond that if necessary. Each handle measures 5 3/4" long. 3/4" wide, spacing between the 2 holes is 3" and the rise is 1 1/4" Condition: Good used condition- These pulls are salvaged hardware and I've washed some of the surface dirt off of them but the brass portion is still dirty and needs to be polished. There is one handle with a chip on the back side of the handle and there is one more handle with a couple of hairline fractures in it(see the last 2 pics) Payment is due within 5 days of auction close via Paypal. Set of 6 bail handle reproduction drawer pulls in original sealed package. They measure 3 inches on center. They are 3 5/8 inches wide by about 1 1/2 inches high. Bail handle is ornately scrolled and has ornate posts for attaching. Bail has 3 inch(bottom) inside measurement. Packaging has a Colorado zip code. But does not have a UPC bar code. That would estimate them to the 1970's. To fit them into a flat rate shipping box- 1 inch needs to be trimmed from the packaging. They will still be sealed.
