Which is the exact amount that you need to install the hinges The hinges have a great"hammered" texture. Which was popularized during the Arts& Crafts movement of the early 1900's. At the point of salvage 2 of the hinges were tough to open and all of the hinges were painted black. White, and red(see last photo) The black paint was applied by the manufacturer when they made the hinges, and the red and white were added by the former owners. During the cleaning process, we completely removed the white and red paint, and took off some of the black paint as well. You could always repaint them if you like, or keep them with their new, unique, silver/black finish. The hinges also open and close much easier now. The hinges have some tiny nicks and scratches. Which are typical for pieces this old, but they blend in very well with the hammered design. Otherwise, they are in great condition, strong and sturdy, and ready to serve for many years to come! This is a set of 12 antique Victorian brass hinges. They are very old looking and have a bit of a gothic feel to them. They are 5" long and 1 3/4" wide. They are tarnished and a bit dirty and some of the hinges are a little stiff but I am sure they will polish and clean up very nicely. Measuring about 8½" x 20½" These two wooden cabinet doors came from the estate of a man who at one time rana phonograph repair shop. My assumption, therefore, has always been that they came from an old Victrola or from a cabinet of some other phonograph company. I have not been able to identify the manufacturer myself, but maybe someone out there will recognize the distinctive shapes of either the brass hinges or the wooden door knobs. The wood is something like mahogany, with a layer of veneer on the front, and the finish is"used and worn" with some scratches and chips and alligatoring, and even some minor delamination starting at the corners. Here are a pair of hinges extraordinaire! Intense! They're big and bad and weigh 4.8 lbs. 7 x 3.5 inches I think they are copper and or brass but I'm not sure and so I'm making no claims. One of them has heavy duty spring action on both sides where you have to pry it open with a screw driver. The other one has that on one side but the other side easily opens by hand with no spring action. They're the coolest hinges I've ever seen!

Up for your bidding is a beautiful and unusual antique finger joint maple Letter/Hankie/Trinket Box with brass hinges and a top with wood inlay. It has a little handle. Red paper interior, and red trim around the bottom. There was a name& symbol inscribed on the bottom of the box but I can not make it out. The also has rounded finger jointed corners and measures: 7.75 x 3.25 inches and is square. The hinges are made of metal with ascribed pattern on them.
