Here's another of the items that I got out of the Bucks County estate: up for bidding is a great piece of Folk Art and early Black Americana. This handmade black doll was probably done in the 1930's- 1940's. It has all of its original clothes on. And was well loved. The person who had this doll loved it so much. That when the fabric on the left leg ripped they tried to match the fabric and hand stitched the replacement patch. Wonderful plaid pants. A gauze top with a camel and black scarf. Her face is just wonderful: hair, eyes and nose are in perfect shape. She is holding a handmade basket that is attached to her belt. See the close-up picture of the hand and you will notice she even has(almost all) shell nails! This doll might even be earlier then the dates I thought it was. True Antique 1800s Drawer Wood Distressed Shabby Primitive Old Square Head Nails
Rare Drawer Wood Square Nail Distressed Shabby Country Primitive Bin Pull zfr207 You are bidding on a single drawer in"as is" condition. 22.75" x 7" x 15.75" deep) Painted green over blue over brown. This drawer has had its original rectangular cast iron bin pulls replaced at some point with brass ones. I have 4 of these drawers for sale, and one of them had the remnant of one of the original bin pulls on it. I was able to find two vintage brass ones to match the other 3 drawers. I can usually get ornate cast iron ones like the original for about $20.00 each. Let me know and we can add that to the bill if they are available. The sides and front and back of the drawer are three quarters of an inch thick; however. The front had been chamfered to give it a very interesting look. The original nails holding the drawer ... moretogether are all the old square-head types(over the years, a round-head one may have been used here and there for strengthening) it is difficult to tell if the original are handmade or machine made. Therefore, I date it to 1840; I do not want to take the nails out to determine if they're handmade(pre-1840) or machine made. Except for the one small chip in the front of the drawer upper left-hand corner, this particular drawer is in excellent shape for its age. The chip just adds more character. This drawer would be excellent to use for display on the wall. as is, or with shelves installed inside. This is a true primitive piece- it has not been sanded or painted or retouched in any way. It was found in the attic area over our kitchen; our farmhouse was built in 1836. Old Antique Basket woven with dyed orange and green wood in with natural wood. The spines of this are three thick square pieces of wood and are put together with nails. The handle is the same. Then the splints of wood are woven over this form. I don't know anything about old baskets. So I know I'm not using the proper terms. This is a rectangular basket that measures 11"L x 7"W x 4" H. There is no damage and there are no holes. Does need washed and I'm sure it will brighten up even more. I have had it stored for years. I welcome all questions.

I have been told that these were used in the late 1800's. They are very old. I don't know what the round item is. But I know that it's old. The Nails are to be believed as hand stamping tools for leather. The old man was 103 and these were items that he had over the years. Neat collection.

Antique 19th Century Mahogany Chest of Drawers - Dresser - Square Nails
It is an antique chest. The chest has mahogany veneer. The drawer sides and bottom are made of oak. The drawers have square nails and the underside of the drawers are hand chamfered. The interior of the pulls have carved mother of pearl. It is 48 1/2" tall x 21" deep x 49" wide. The chest is in fair used condition. The drawers open and close fairly smooth. The veneer has some warping. Chips and old repairs. The top is loose and has some dings, staining and remnants of tape. Overall, it presents well. A true antique. I attempt to be as accurate as possible. But odd surfaces can prove difficult sometimes as I lack a pair of calipers. I do not take apart or clean anything after listing an item. It is up to the new owner to clean silver and other metals. I am happy to ship overseas. But be aware of your country's customs laws. I have had items returned at considerable expense and I cannot be held accountable if my items cannot make it past such inspections. A note to silver scrappers: There are those who will claim that the weight of an object is less than advertised and demand a rebate after the auction has ended. This is an ongoing trend and these individuals seem to complain if silver prices go down between the day they buy and the day they receive. When melting silver. 1940's. Antique vintage hand-made wooden doll furniture dresser. The nails appear to be very old style. Very primitive construction. The three legs are good and the one in rear is worn/chipped/cracked,and top of right side cracked. see pictures. This was an estate sale find so I have no idea of the actual age of the piece. The patina on the wood has rich color. Dresser measures 4 1/4" tall at the tallest point. It came with some doll furniture I am listing. 1942 and previous owners name marked on the bottom in pencil.
