I have a rarer"AMERICA" pattern. Hard to find, heavy iron mortise lock made by the Norwalk Lock Co. Mid to late 1800's, for your consideration. Heavy iron box construction with chunky brass latch and deadbolt slides. Heavy brass drive gear and brass doorknob collar as well. Backplate is cast iron. Pattern marked" AMERICA" 8937. Drive gear engages and disengages latch slide smoothly. I do not have the original key so you will not be able to lock the room while away until you either find a key that works or have one made. Face plate of box is a heavy cast brass manufacture and the strike plate is a heavy brass stamped design. Doorknob is iron with a brass collar. Thumb handle and theaded 1/4 inch standard drive is iron. The rosette is a pressed steel. Lock box mortise cut is 3 3/8" deep x 3 1/4" high x 11/16" ... morewide. The Brass face plate is 1" x 5 3/8" x 3/16" wide. The offset including the thickness of the brass face plate is 2 9/16" To inside edge of face plate is 2 3/8" Really a nice early quality lock for your authentic shop home or garden repair or renovation. Upon inspection, springs are strong and looks intact and ready for another lifetime of use. Questions welcome other wise what you see is what you get. Flat ship to the US is 6.60. Thanks for looking.

Antique brass mortise dead lock, latch, handle and knocker set - 1920's Colonial
This is a working vintage 1920’s complete entry door deadbolt lockset. With knocker. It is heavy duty and attractive and was saved when we replaced the front door on our 1926 house. Includes: Mortise lock with deadbolt including long bolts to secure cylinder lock. Cylinder lock and mounting ring(modern) Decorative outside lower handle set with latch. Decorative outside top plate for cylinder lock. Decorative knocker and outside plate. Inside plate with brass door knob and small knob for locking. Inside brass door knob with split-screw mounting bolt. Three large mounting bolts for handle set and knocker with inside washers. Brass lock plate for door frame. The outer handle. Backplates and knocker are decorative with a patina from age. They are heavy and appear to be of solid cast brass or bronze- I tested that they do not attract a magnet, ... morethough some areas behind the grip on the knocker, and the part where the knocker hits its plate look a steely color. There are a few minor touches of red paint on some edges. The three main mounting bolts are included as they are vintage and custom to the pieces. I haven’t included the wood screws for mounting as new ones are are easily obtained from a hardware store. The lock mechanism has been cleaned. Lubricated with graphite oil and repaired. It has worked beautifully ever since(six months) after which we got our new door and stopped using it. About the repair A small piece of spring metal had become fatigued and snapped so that the deadbolt was not retracting fully. I fashioned a new one from a piece of tool spring using a jeweler’s saw. I removed the old spring from the brass component where it was attached and cleared the stub out with the saw. The new spring slots into the groove. I filled any gap with solder and filed the solder down smooth. the new spring fits snugly. Because of the configuration of the mechanism. It can be pulled out only if the component that it slots into is removed from the lock. This has worked smoothly ever since the repair, and is better th

Rare Antique Jack & Jill Bathroom Mortise Lock by Russwin, 2-1/2” Backset #7122
A highly unusual and HARD TO FIND antique mortise lock by Russwin. Designed for use in a Jack and Jill Bathroom. The lock has a two-part bolt and would be used with a thumb turn on each side, making it suitable for a shared bathroom. There is a PAT date of JAN 18 1910. The lock features a copper/brass faceplate with a cast iron case, and is in excellent condition. The lock has a 2-1/2" backset; the faceplate measures 1" wide and 6 1/2" long; and the lock body is 3 3/8" deep and 4 1/2" tall. All sales are final. Thanks for looking at my auction and good luck!

This is a Very Early Mortise Lock. 1820's? Probably made by a Blacksmith. Do not know much about it other then this is very old. Total length is about 17" long. The Key hole is about 1 1/2" long. The front plate is about 7 x 7 1/2" It appears that there may be a broken spring. Otherwise it seems to be all there. Original patina. Nice Old Primitive Lock. No Key.
