I can only attest that the ones that came with the keys are actually functional, but all of these were purchased at a sale from a turn-of-the-century home here in Medina, Ohio. You are viewing an Antique 2 KEY CAST MORTISE DOOR Lock and ESCUTCHEON PLATE by Norwalk c1885. The lock appears to be fully functional. All the parts inside the lock case work. There is some surface rust on the parts inside the case as shown by the photos. The door edge of the mortise lock is either brass or bronze. The info on the face of the brass dead bolt is: NORWALK LOCK CO. SO. NORWALK- CONN. This lock takes 2 keys. There is also a locking mechanism on the brass side of the lock. This function also works. There is only one escutcheon plate with this lock. The 2 key holes and the door knob hole line up with the holes on the escutcheon plate. Don't know much else about this old beauty. Antique beefy Norwalk exterior doorset door lever handle mortise lock works
Amazing beefy 1920's Norwalk doorset. The lever works and the interior throw thumb bolt work. I have everything you need but I don't have the interior knob and split spindle or the strike. 2 3/4" back set. You would of course get this keyed to match your locks so it's irrelevant that I don't have the keys. You might even be able to get a lock smith to reuse this Norwalk cylinder but if not they are inexpensive to replace.

I bought several of these locks at an auction I attend. They all must have came out of the same house because all of them were made by sargent. These mortise locks are in the best condition of any mortise locks I've bought in the past. I don't see any rust on them anywhere. The brass face needs to be cleaned and I'm sure they will look great. As far as the part of the locks where the door handle turns. They all are free and seem to work good. If it has a dead bolt, I have no keys, so I have no way to test that part. As good as they look and what I can move works, I really don't see any reason why the deadbolt part wouldn't work just as well. The good thing about sargent locks, the keys aren't hard to find and they are pretty universal to fit most any sargent lock. I have 5 lots of these locks listed and they all have ... moredifferent items in each lock, so if this lot is not quiet what you need, be sure to visit my store and see the other locks I have listed. Antique Vintage Mortise Lock Y & T Yale
The vintage Yale mortise lock is in good condition. The face plate is rusty. But the mechanical parts of the lock work well. This takes a#1 skeleton key. You can see the#1 stamped on the part of the dead bolt mechanism. My#2 key is too wide for this lock, so that is why I assume it takes a#1 key. The face plate measures 5 3/16" long and 7/8" wide. The lock case is 3 1/2" tall and 3 1/8" wide. It is 2 1/2" from the back of the plate to the center of the door knob hole. From the center of the door knob hole to the bottom of the skeleton key hole is 3" The lock case is around 7/16" thick. Old antique vintage door hardware Mortise Lock skeleton Key L58 solid brass face
Mortise lock has a face plate of 7/8' wide. 5 1/4' tall, 3 1/4' deep. The backset for the knob spindle is about 2 3/8' This one has a heavy duty thick brass face plate that is nearly 1/4' thick. The face plate can be removed with 2 screws. Comes with one tested and functional skeleton key. I test the key multiple times on both sides of the lock to insure fit and function. The strike bolt can be reversed for doors that swing the other way. Auction is for the lock shown. A strike plate is included. This is a used working antique lock, not a newer made in China version. Norwalk DOOR MORTISE LOCK 1880s Bird Butterfly Victorian Antique Deadbolt This is a lovely Victorian Eastlake mortise lock by Norwalk. It features birds and butterflies. Circa 1880s. This lock is cast iron with the exception of the catch and deadbolt. Which are brass. The lock works perfectly via a spindle rod. I do not have a skeleton key that fits this deadbolt, but I do feel healthy movement in there as I tested keys. The face plate has no paint. No rust. The design is very sharp and crisp. The face plate measures: 5 3/4" tall. It is 15/16" wide. The lock is 3 5/8" tall. It is 9/16" wide. It recesses into the door 3 1/8" deep. We accept Paypal. Mid-1920's Brass Mortise Lock • Antique • Operating Deadbolt
Used on the front door of a very nice row home build in the'20's across from the new High School. Fast forward 90 years. I removed the mortise. Patched the dor with wood and epoxy filler, and installed a standard Schlage knob and deadbolt set. The pictured mortise set operates. We used it for fifteen years as a front door passsage knob latch and deadbolt. The deadbolt only operates with a key. Of which two are provided. If a key is in the lock. You cannot insert a key from the outside.
