I am now offering some of those I don't ... moreneed for your consideration. This auction is for THREE(3) rectangular antique door plates, I believe from the 1920's or 30's. But I wasn't around back then so I don't know for s ure. T wo plates are plated steel- a magnet does stick to them. The third is not magnetic- appears to be plated brass. The coating is a bronze or copper color. These w ould have been used with an old. Large mortise-type lockset and skeleton key- neither is included. P late A measures 10" high x 3" wide. This is the non-magnetic. Bronze-colored one. I believe this plate would have been used on the outside of the front entry door- possib ly exposed to the weather. Plate B measures 7" high x 2 1/4" wide. It is plated steel- the plating appears to be an' antique brass' color. It is similar in design to plate A. But not an exact match. The previous owner"cleaned" these two plates with steel wool, so there are scratches evident. And some finish loss. Plate C measures 7 1/4" high x 2 3/8" wide. It has not been cleaned at all. And is mostly covered with old white paint. It is also plated steel. I believe the color may also be' antique brass' But I can't tell with the paint. It is. Again, a similar design to the other two plates, but not an exact match to either. I received plates A and B as you see them- I do NOT have any knobs or screws to go with them- sorry. The 4 screws that were holding plate C to a door are includ ed, but there were no knobs on the door. This auction is for only these T HREE door back plates. Antique Wooden Unique File Storage Cabinet 20 Tall Drawers with Brass Hardware Up for sale is a beautiful vintage file cabinet in original condition. The tall drawers make for an unusual piece and they are completely made of wood instead of metal. I do not know my woods well. But someone told me that the cabinet is made of walnut and the inside of poplar. I have included a close-up image, but let me know if you would like pictures of certain areas to confirm this. There are no markings of a manufacturer and I am unaware of when it was made. It is a nice, sturdy piece of furniture with normal wear that you get with anything this old and there are only a few flaws that are fortunately in areas which are rarely seen. One area is the very back of the top where some small pieces have come off. Also, the back of a drawer is split and the same area ... morehas come off another drawer but the unbroken piece is included. Finally, as you can see in the first side image, the bottom shows some wear. All drawers work fine and the cabinet is ready to be used and displayed right away. This is a pair of antique Barn door track hangers or rollers that measure about 9-1/2 long or tall or so and are about 4" across the widest place. The wheels measure about 1" round by about 1" thick or so. These are both marked with Myers(hard to read! and something on the flip side of that. These still have red paint on them. They both are of course are rusty. They both turn very freely. I don't really know anything else about them. They would be great for your rustic farm decor or to collect! Antique Primitive Walnut Farm Fresh Chest Brass Handles Toolbox Orig. Hardware
This auction features an antique walnut chest. Probably a tool chest at one point. The chest is made of solid walnut ½ in thickness. The outside measurements are 21 inches wide, 12 ¾ inches in depth, and the chest stands 10 ¾ inches tall. Total weight packed is 20 pounds. I believe this was probably made to be used as a tool box. And not something that one would have sitting in the house. The reason I think this is because of the lips that have been inlaid inside the box. I believe this at one point had a few trays inside, that would have been perhaps ½- ¾ of the depth of the box, and would have been able to slide forwards and backwards to access needed drill bits, hammers, chisels and the like. Pair of antique wrought iron Suffolk thumb latches door hardware
2 very nice antique wrought iron Suffolk Lima bean thumb latches with parts. The latches are most likely 18th century. They are 8 3/4" long. The thumb pieces are original and are 2 1/2" and 3" long. There is cross hatching on the handles. The cusps are nice and bold. The latch bars are period and are 6 1/4" and 6 3/4" long. Both thumbers are nice and wide. Ask questions if interested.
