They are completely round, no distinct angle like the hexagonal knobs. Not indented on top like some round knobs but instead the same elegant, almost striped(for lack of better term as I really know next to nothing about knobs or antique architecture! pattern from stem to top of handle with a simple raised dot in center. Lot of Ten Antique Eight Sided (octagon) Glass Crystal Door Knob Sets (20 Knobs)
This auction is for a Lot of Ten Eight-Sided Antique Glass Crystal and Brass Door Knob Sets(20 knobs) in very good condition. The eight-sided glass knobs measure about two and one-quarter(2 1/4" inches in diameter and show light normal wear. The knobs are in very good condition and do not have any chips. A few of the knobs may have a nick or slight roughness on an edge but nothing beyond very light normal wear. The knobs are similar but are not the same. They have not been cleaned or polished. As a note- the door knob casings(ferrules) can be polished with brass cleaner or with dish washing soap and steel wool(000 or 0000) Try not to get water inside the knobs as it can damage the star or geometric design.so remove any residue with a damp rag. We have an extremely large amount of antique hardware of all kinds that is slowly being sold on this site. In all of our projects we have only come across these particular sets one time. Even throughout this site there are very few"antique" Sargent& Co. items. If what other sellers on here are asking just for the Sargent mortise locks are the average price. All have been cleaned from any dirt or paint and are in decent condition with no chips. There are a couple of minor scratches that i've tried to highlight in the last 2 pics. Antique Pair of EAPG Octagon Glass Door Knobs Starburst Design
We have here a pair. Or one door knob, Antique EAPG Octagon Glass Door Knobs. The are 2" by 2" On the face of the knob there is a starburst or spray pattern. They will fit a 1/4" round rod. The rod shows through the face of the knob and has a square setting. There are a few nicks on the face of each knob. Around the edges, just little chips that are rough to the touch, not sharp. On the back side around the holes is rough to the touch. You can see in the photo what looks like fracture lines. We think that these are straw marks as you cannot see any feathering, or they were done in the making. Some parts are tight, but I can catch other parts with my nail. Antique Glass & Brass Door Knobs w/Spindle, Back-plate & 2 Screws Pretty!
This is a very pretty set of Brass and Glass door knobs that come with one very pretty patterned back-plate. The set also include a spindle and two set screws. One knob is in very good condition with a free-turning screw. No visible chips or cracks, but it does have a few specks of paint. The other knob is in good condition with no visible chips or cracks, but there is a small amount of play between the brass and glass. It also has a small amount of paint. The set screw does not turn freely and would need a soaking agent like Loctite to free it up. The back-plate is beautiful and has an ornate pattern. It is in very good condition with a small amount of discoloration as shown in photo#4. The spindle completes the set and it has a small amount of paint on it also. The two knobs are twelve-sided and they are slightly different. But with the ... moreback-plate, they make a beautiful set. It is worthy of restoration for a project or a collector. Lot of 2 Antique Eight-Sided (octagon) Glass Crystal Door Knob Sets (4 Knobs)
This auction is for Two Eight-Sided Antique Glass Crystal and Brass Door Knob Sets(4 knobs) in very good condition. The eight-sided glass knobs measure about two and one-quarter(2 1/4" inches in diameter and show light normal wear. The knobs are in very good condition and do not have any chips. There are a few light scratches and small nicks.on edge nick is about 1/8" X 1/8" The knobs have very nice star or geometric patterns. The knobs are similar but are not the same. One is larger than the other. They have not been cleaned or polished. As a note- the door knob casings(ferrules) can be polished with brass cleaner or with dish washing soap and steel wool(000 or 0000) Try not to get water inside the knobs as it can damage the star or geometric design.so remove any residue with a damp rag. The sets come with the connecting rods ... moreand both set screws. Another note- if you are looking for door knobs to use for doors make sure that they come with both set screws. There are many(probably 100's) of different antique door knob styles and there was no standard set screw size or thread so they can be very hard to find. The knobs shown are the knobs that you will receive. The knobs when carefully packed will weigh about 2-3 pounds but they will fit in a medium USPS flat rate box so shipping in the US should be $12.35 or less. From an estate sale. Double cut glass door knobs on a spindle and with brass fittings with beautiful Art Deco designed metal face plates that have been painted and measure approximately 5 3/4" x 1 1/2" Black metal lock with brass plate. Needs to be refurbished. Inside the middle of the cut glass knob is a flower design. It is beautiful.The knob has 12 sides(Octagonal) and they are in excellent condition. Just need to be cleaned. Basically the lock is in good condition and useable, but needs to be cleaned and/or re-done. The push button on the lock is workable and the lock is in the unlocked position. This is an awesome piece of salvaged barn wood. It is lightly sanded to remove obvious splinters. But other than that it is untouched by stain, paint, etc. You can add stain, clear coat, or paint to meet your decorating needs. I've added four gorgeous glass antique door knobs which really stand out against the wood. This is a great piece for a rustic cabin, country style decor, or even a modern shabby chic style or loft style decor. Coat rack measure 45 inches long 6 inches wide and three inches deep. I have already removed one of the old rusty screws. But the other will need to be drilled out. The head is stripped and rusty. The shafts are rusty and will need some cleaning up before use. The glass knobs have some paint splatters and worn dulled finish. Both are still very usable and you will only need one shaft for the pair. I accept PayPal. Lot of Five Antique Glass Door Knob Sets (10 Knobs) in VG Condition
This auction is for a Lot of Five Antique Glass Door Knob Sets in very good condition. The twelve-sided glass knobs measure about two inches in diameter and show light normal wear. no chips or cracks and few if any tiny nicks. The knobs are similar but are not the same. Some paint was flaked off but otherwise the knobs have not been cleaned. As a note- the door knob casings(ferrules) can be polished with brass cleaner or with dish washing soap and steel wool(000 or 0000) Try not to get water inside the knobs as it can damage the star or geometric design.so remove residue with a damp rag. The sets come with the connecting rods and both set screws. Another note- if you are looking for door knobs to use for doors make sure that they come with both set screws.
