This is undoubtedly one of the nicest grates we've ever acquired over the years. Absolutely no chips, cracks, or breaks to be found. It is SUPER NICE. Very, very decorative with eight starred decorative center being raised probably about 1" from the main surface. Also, the center does rotate in the given slots. The grate is very heavy cast iron, weighing in at about 6# 15-1/4" in diameter x 1-1/4" thick. Please enlarge all pictures to see the condition and details the best. Antique Floor Register Heat Grate Vent, Cast Iron with Louvers, fits 9x12" hole
This is a pretty old cast iron floor register. The decorative top is 13 1/2 inches by 10 5/8 inches. And it fits a 9 inch by 12 inch rectangular opening. This antique register is a decorative way to cover the heat vents in your home. The louvers open and close easily with the thumb wheel. There is a 1/8 inch gap between the top and louver portion of the register that won't affect its use. We're not sure if the black finish on the top is the original finish or old black paint. There are some spots where the black finish has worn off, but most of it still looks very nice. There is some old paint and plaster on the bottom part, and some surface rust on the louvers.

This is a large and pretty old cast iron floor register. This decorative top is larger than most. At 16 inches by 14 inches, and it fits a 14 inch by 12 inch rectangular opening. This antique register is a decorative way to cover the heat vents in your home. The louvers open and close with the thumb wheel, though you need to use more pressure than usual to get them open. There is a chip missing from the thumb wheel. Some of the black finish has worn off, especially around the edges. There is rust where the finish is missing. This is a RARE find out of an old house I'm working on. Is's a Gorgeous Victorian cast iron heat register that goes between the floor and ceiling.It comes in 2 pieces of vent pipe that screw together so you can adjust the depth between the floor and ceiling. With and adjustable grate on one side and a decorative ornate grate on the other. It's cast iron, and 10" around. Depth goes from 8" minimum up to 13" for maximum depth. The grates are attached on each end of a galvanized adjustable screw together vent pipe, which allows you to adjust the depth needed to go between the ceiling and floor. It's in EXCELLENT CONDITION. You are buying a Antique Pat's 1894 10X14 Floor Heater Register Complete With Its Original Frame. The louvers work freely in the register with each louver being signed 10X14 on one side and Pat's June 26. 1894. Both the frame and register are in excellent condition with no rust, chips, cracks or repairs. The ornate outer frame measures 19 1/2" X 15 1/2" with and 15 3/4"X11 3/4" center opening. The register measures 15 1/2"X11 1/2" and is 2 1/4" deep. What a great piece that is ready to install.
