This is a lot of 2 matching antique metal heating vent covers. They open and close as they should and have a beautiful decorative pattern. One measures approximately 14" wide and 11 3/4" tall. This auction is for a vintage three piece. Round, cast iron, floor register. Embossed on the outside rim: Manufactured by The Adams Company in Dubuque, Iowa on August 31, 1897. The center plate is removal to accommodate a stove pipe. The outside diameter measures about 15 3/4" with the bottom flange fitting into the opening of a pipe 13 1/4" in diameter. It is in good condition without any cracks or breaks. But obviously been painted brown. Needs a cleaning. And it is ready for painting. Here is an antique floor register or vent. This is a decorative cast iron piece with louvers on the back that open and close when you move the slider at the center. The top of this register is 8 1/4 inches in diameter. The back is tapered. With the bottom measuring 6 3/4 inches. I think it will need a 7 1/2 inch opening in the floor. This register has remnants of the original black japanned finish. Where the finish is missing there is light rust. The slider works.
