They have a hole at the top to screw in from the front, and a threaded 1/8" post on the back. The keyhole itself is 1/2" tall. This is a very small brass escutcheon. Measures 2 and 1/2 inches by about 1/2 inch. Has a small hole at both ends for screw. And two other small holes just under and above the key hold. Ornate. 2 old vintage ornate brass escutcheon key hole backplates. They're in good used vintage condition with some surface wear and tarnish.no dents/dings/cracks or breaks. But one of them seems to have been cut on one side probably to fit a specific space. The vertical one measures just over 2 3/4" tall x just over 5/8" wide, the horizontal one measures just under 2 1/4" wide x just over 1" tall and has a very interesting shape and design.
