Antique 2 Door Chinese Hardwood Jewelry Box with Brass Hinges & 4 Drawers
This is a Chinese antique. Hardwood jewelry box with 4 drawers and 2 doors; two inner and one outer. Each inner drawer has brass handles that lay flush with the front of drawer. Drawers slide very nicely and chest doors close well. I am not sure if there was an original latch on the doors. But the brass closures appears to have been made so that a lock could be used to secure the doors. Each drawer has a green satin liner. One drawer has ring dividers. The bottom drawer has a top compartment and a hidden compartment underneath. There is a brass handle on the top. This was constructed very well with dovetail joints. There is a one place on the back of the chest on top left that looks like wood had separated a tiny bit from the frame. But it does in no way affect the functionality. I have 2 separate pictures- 8 and#9 that show this. The chest ... moreis very sweet. There is not a plaque or stamp to indicate where it was made. But I have seen another similar to this one that was made in Hong Kong. I do not know the age of the box. I purchased it from an antique dealer at an antique fair. 3 Cleaned Antique 4"x4" Copper Steel Exterior Entry Door Ball Tip Finial Hinges
Penn Antique Restoration. Set of 3 Cleaned Antique Copper-plated Steel Door Hinges 4"x4" Beautiful. Antique door hinges salvaged from Northeastern Ohio. Each hinge is made of solid. Heavy, thick steel. The hinges were originally Copper plated, but most of the plating wore off over the years leaving the parts with a nice, distressed finish. At the point of salvage. The pins wouldn't budge, and the hinges were painted, dirty, and rusty(see last photo) Much time was spent removing the pins, and thoroughly cleaning the parts in attempt them to bring them back to their original splendor. Considering their age. The hinges are in great shape. They have the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on old, used hinges, but there are no breaks, cracks, bends, or gouges. Each hinge has some minor pitting on the insides(the ... moresides which will be visible once installed) and knuckles. The pitting is not structurally threatening, and many people prefer some pitting because it enhances the distressed/antique feel of a piece, but we just want you to be aware of it. Antique door hinges made by"Stanley Works" of New Britain, CT sometime during the first quarter of the previous century. Each hinge is made of solid, heavy, thick steel. The hinges were originally copper plated, but some of the plating wore off over the years leaving the parts with a nice, distressed finish. Both hinges have a five-knuckle design with ball-tip finials on each end. The"SW" Stanley Works) logo is featured on the back of each hinge. At the point of salvage. Antique wrought iron strap/wishbone form hinges. The hinges are most likely 18th/early 19th century. The hinges are 11"12" long and are in great condition. The wishbone form is 2 1/2" wide. NO RESERVE! Highest bid will win regardless of amount! Up for consideration is a pair of fancy vintage door hinges. The hinges are 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" with square corners. Six screw holes per hinge- three per side. These hinges have just been powdercoated this week. They are exceptionally shiny(and hard to photograph because they reflect so much) Silky smooth ball bearing operation. They do not have hinge pins that pull in and out. Very tight with no wiggle whatsoever. Exceptionally smooth operating. The internals have been greased(cup grease. Not just sprayed with WD-40! and they are ready to mount. These are super quality hinges. Together. They weigh 1 pound and 4 ounces. I only have these two. NO screws. No makers mark or any other markings. I think the hinges are solid brass. They had zero rust before powdercoating. There is no ... morepitting or signs of abuse in the metal. Smooth and shiny. NOTE: There are a couple of places on the"barrel" of both hinges that did not get completely covered with the powdercoating. PLEASE LOOK AT THE TWO LAST PHOTOS TO SEE THESE AREAS. Antique Brass Decorative Door Back Plate. Latch, Hinges ++ Vintage Hardware I actually don't know enough to know if these are brass or bronze so I leave that up to you to decide. Original mortised door latch has a face plate that is 5-9/16 inches long and 7/8 inches wide. There are 2 original decorative back plates. A matching pair of 1/2 mortised hinges(mounts on the surface of the door with only the jamb side of the door hinge being mortised. Most any vintage style door handles with shaft will work with this hardware. An extra set and a half of a double hung window locks are also included along with the miscellaneous screws and so forth shown in the photos. Penn Antique Restoration. Set of 3 Antique Steel Surface Mount Barn Door Strap Hinges. Distressed. Antique, door strap hinges salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. Each hinge is made of solid steel. Originally, they were copper plated, however, most of the plating wore off over the years. You'll notice a pink hue on the hinge to the far right, in the first photo; it has the most amount of plating of the 3. At the point of salvage.
