ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE SIX DRAWER FILE CABINET CUPBOARD- UNIQUE VERTICAL HARDWARE* Up for sale is this nice six drawer file cabinet. This is a nice quality wooden cabinet with unique and interesting vertical handles on the drawers. It's a deep rich red stain color and parts of it have even darker color. The cabinet is in good shape for it's age and has a number of nicks. Dings and scrapes on it as you can see in the pictures. There is a noticeable color difference in the wood on the drawers and also between the drawers and the top and sides. The drawers have high sides on them as you can see in the pictures except for one drawer where one high side has broken in half and the top of the side of the drawer is missing. It has worn spots. Edge wear, scratches and nicks as you'd expect from and item of this age. It's old but we're ... morenot sure how old. On the inside of the drawers is written"Mr. Mueller" and"8-16-26" We anticipate that this is when Mr. Mueller obtained it and that it was in 1926. The lower right door sticks a little when you try to pull it out but the others work fine. The cabinet measures 31.75" W x 16.5" W x 20.25" H. The drawers measures 8.75" W x 14.5" D x 7" H inside. The inside of the drawers will hold a 6" x 8" card vertically. The cabinet weighs 60 lbs. which is a testament to it's quality. It's a very interesting piece! Thank you for looking at this item. Offered is this 21 piece lot of old brass hardware that came off a mission oak Globe Wernicke library card catalog file or cabinet from the early 1910's to 1920's very similar to the one pictured. It was too far gone to restore so all the hardware was salvaged. There are 7 drawer pulls and 14 file card holders from a seven drawer unit and come complete with all the screws and washers except for one pull that's missing a single screw. Antique mail sorter - printer's cabinet - original hardware - Post Office
This is a Post Office mail sorter is approximately 7' tall. 19-1/2 inches wide and 16-1/2 inches deep. It is made of dark oak and is very heavy. All hardware is original and intact. There is a plate on the top front of the cabinet that reads"U.S. PO Dept. 1163" This may have been a mail sorter but could very well have been used in a post office walk in safe or vault at the post office. The petina of the wood is original. There is a piece wood veneer of the front leg missing which you can see in the 5th photo above. It does not affect the unit's ability to stand upright. It is very steady and solid. Due to moisture from being stored all these years. There is a bit of bubbling in the wood beginning near the bottom of the back of the piece. Not much and does not cover a big area. There are 28 small drawers and 6 big drawers ... morewith all original hardware and they all work perfectly. I think this piece was made by the Globe furniture company but im not sure. It will take two people to move this piece. It is VERY HEAVY. This piece was salvaged from a Chicago bakery and is c1920. Great old look– cabinet is painted(textured) white over what looks to be oak veneer. It is super heavy so I am assuming it is constructed of oak. Minor damage to the bottom of the unit and a few dings that are consistent with age. The best part about this piece is that a logo could be added to the center panel above the glass. The unit is not refrigerated. But I'm sure could be converted as a compressor could be added to the top of the top interior of the unit 8 1/2"h. Overall unit measurement is 32 3/4"w x 35 1/2"d(at the bottom) x 52 3/4"h. I have a nice lot of antique wrought iron and pressed/peened slide locks for your consideration. There are 3 matching slides that measure 3 1/2 x 1 1/8 inches. These look to be unused and in nice reusable condition where the slides move freely. Nice lot for any furniture. Cabinet or door application. Vintage Antique General Hardware Soda Fountain Store Display Back Bar Cabinet
Vintage/ Antique Oak Cabinet that was probably used for a Back Bar or Soda Fountain Store General or Hardware Store Tavern Pub. It is 2 piece and Approx measurements are BASE Cabinet 12ft&1/4" long by 36" tall and 25-1/4" back. The Top portion 61-3/4" tall by 11 ft 10" long and 22-1/2" back. So basically its a little over 12 feet long by a little over 8 feet tall.It is in as pictured vintage condition with wear soil, dings, chips etc as a cabinet of this age would have. Here are some flaws that I noticed- The top left right side is missing one of the sliding glass doors, on the base top the area of the alcove and mirror veneer has bubbled some, on the top left if you look close you can see that a spot is chipped inside, the bottom drawer does not close all the way. So the cabinet will need some TLC and adjustments ... moretherefore it is selling as is for restoration. It has a decal that says MARX on the top. The other end of the cabinet is finished just as the left side, I just could not get a picture of it as it is up against my wall.
