For sale is an outstanding circa 1875 blown glass bottle. From a Bergen County New Jersey estate home. This piece features a figural scene of a man in a top hat on the front and a man hunting bird on the back. It is outstanding early glass! There are no noticable chips, breaks or fractures. This appears to be a hand blown mouth with no seams leading up to it. This bottle looks to be completely hand blown with many bubbles and slight imperfections during the glass making process. You can see in one of the pictures that the mouth looks like it has a fracture but you can not feel it on either side of the glass thus I beleive this happened when the bottle was made. This is rare Poland Spring"Moses" bottle in aqua glass. It was made 1876-1878 from the first mold. In mint condition. The early blown mold bottle has a hand-applied lip, correct for the period. Poland Spring(Maine) was founded in 1845 by Hiram Ricker. The bottom edge of the bottle has raised lettering: H. RICKER& SON'S PROPRIETOR'S. The bottle measures 11 1/4 in. in height and the base diameter is 3 1/2 in. This is an old. Antique purple or lavender bottle. I'm not an expert on antique bottles, but I'm told these are over 100 years old. They started out with clear glass and over the years sunlight turned it purple due to the manganese the bottle was made with. It says"TRADE MARK~THE DANDY" on the front. English or Dutch wine pre 1900's
Here is one of my favorite bottles ever. Dutch or English. BLUE did you ever see such a nice blue hue in any old wine bottle? This bottle is in perfect condition except for some scuff marks see photo. It has never been buffed only washed they will like buff off if that is your prefeance, This bottle was found in South America. bubbles! pointil! no chips, cracks, flakes, stars or anything. Got to be a 9+. You may never get a chance to buy a blue one again. This color is rare! I will not put any reserve on as always but this is hard. I'm however selling them All, my entire collection of beauties. Here is you only chance to own this one.
